Description: BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION 1. Field of the Invention The present invention relates to a tool used for attaching and detaching an optical plug to and from a receptacle. 2. Description of the Related Art Conventionally, tools specially for attaching and detaching optical plugs include:
A pair of two levers are pivotally mounted on a substantially middle portion of the main body with the base portion as a gripping portion on both upper and lower (left and right) sides, and open and close freely. Is known in which a spring force is urged by an interposed spring in a direction in which the plug clamp portion is closed. [0003] However, the conventional plug attaching / detaching tool described above has poor insulation because the main body and the pair of levers are made of metal, and requires a pair of levers. Since it is structurally complicated, large and heavy, and requires operation of a lever when attaching and detaching a plug, there are problems such as poor operability and high cost. SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION The present invention has been made in view of the above-mentioned problems of the above-mentioned conventional plug attaching / detaching tool, and is capable of being integrally molded with plastic. It is an object of the present invention to provide an optical plug attaching / detaching tool which is inexpensive, lightweight, has good operability, and is easy to use. [0005] In order to achieve the above object, an optical plug attaching / detaching tool according to the present invention comprises a plug frame having a plug frame formed on a longitudinal end portion of a main body formed in a substantially horizontal groove. A pair of elastic clamp plates projecting in parallel with a predetermined interval are provided with a pair of resilient clamp plates, which are opposed to projecting engagement projections that engage with the locking holes opened up and down symmetrically. The upper and lower portions thereof are provided on a vertical locking surface for locking each with the opening edge of the locking hole, and the front and lower portions symmetrical with the respective locking surfaces are provided on the inner side of each clamp plate from the front surface of the engaging projection. It is characterized in that it is formed on an inclined surface which is inclined downward and forward. In the state where the plug is fitted and mounted in the receptacle, when the tool is pushed coaxially with the rear portion of the plug and the tip portion is pushed into the plug, the two protruding portions are opposed to the pair of two clamp plates. The front inclined surfaces of the engagement projections abut the upper and lower corners of the rear end of the plug frame. Therefore, when the tool is further pushed in, the inclined surface slides along the upper and lower corners and is pushed in, whereby the pair of two clamp plates are symmetrically outwardly pushed out against the elastic force of the clamp plate itself. When the tool is pushed in and the two engaging projections match the locking holes of the plug frame, the clamp plate is elastically returned inward horizontally. Each engagement protrusion fits into an upper and lower locking hole of the plug frame. Next, the plug is pulled out of the receptacle integrally with the tool by pulling the tool backward. When removing the plug from the tool, pull the plug forward while holding the plug in a horizontal position.
When the opening edge of the locking hole of the plug frame comes into contact with the lower inclined surface of the engaging projection and slides with each other, the pair of two clamp plates are symmetrically pushed outward and spread out. The mating protrusion rides up and the plug can be removed from the front opening of the tool by pulling the plug forward. When the plug is removed from the tool, the pair of clamp plates return horizontally to the inside due to the elasticity of the clamp plate. Further, the plug can be fitted into the receptacle by pushing the plug into the receptacle from the tool while the plug is engaged and held at the tip of the tool. An embodiment of an optical plug attaching / detaching tool according to the present invention will be described below with reference to the drawings. FIG. 1 is a perspective view showing a main part and a plug of the optical plug attaching / detaching tool according to the present invention, and FIG. 2 is a partially cutaway longitudinal sectional view showing a state in which the same tool is being inserted into a rear part of the plug.
