Claims (6)

【特許請求の範囲】[Claims] 【請求項1】 用紙積載部上に搬送された用紙束の搬送
方向中央部を、用紙突き出し手段の中折り板部材により
押圧しつつ中折りローラ対の挟持位置に押し込み、前記
用紙束を中折り処理する用紙後処理方法において、前記
中折り板部材の前進駆動により前記挟持位置に前記用紙
束を押し込み、前記挟持位置において中折り部を形成
し、前記挟持位置を越えた所定位置に達した時点で前記
中折り板部材を後退させ待機位置に移動させた後、前記
中折りローラ対を逆回転させて前記挟持位置の手前側に
前記中折り部を後退させるとともに、前記中折り板部材
を再び前進駆動させて、前記中折り部の先端部が前記中
折りローラ対の挟持位置を超える所定位置まで前記用紙
束の中折り部を再度押し込み、その後、前記中折り板部
材を後退駆動させて待機位置に移動させるとともに、前
記中折りローラ対を正回転させ、前記用紙束を排出させ
ることを特徴とする用紙後処理方法。

前進及び後退させる第1駆動手段と、前記中折りローラ
対を正回転及び逆回転させる第2駆動手段と、前記第1
駆動手段と前記第2駆動手段の駆動を制御する制御手段
と、を有し、前記中折り板部材の前進、後退、及び前記
中折りローラ対の正回転、逆回転を複数回実行して、前
記用紙束の中折り部が前記中折りローラ対の挟持位置を
複数回通過するように前記第1駆動手段及び前記第2駆
動手段を制御することを特徴とする用紙後処理装置。
