However, the conventional fuse 50 has a problem that it is taller and not compact. The electrical junction box 55 has many fuses 50
Therefore, it is strongly desired to make the fuse 50 compact. However, in the case of the fuse 50, the sum of the thickness da of the housing 56, the distance db between the tip of the relay terminal 60 and the contact point, and the margin dc that has been discharged by accumulating dimensional tolerances, that is, da + db + d
If c ≦ Da, the input / output terminals 52 and 53 cannot be firmly connected to the relay terminal 60.
The protruding length Da of the output terminals 52 and 53 becomes long, and the fuse 50 becomes tall. Further, the electric connection box 55 also has a problem that it is difficult to reduce the size because the relay terminal 60 must have a sufficient thickness to be stacked on the tip of the tab 59. Since the number of mounted parts is increasing rapidly in automobiles and there is not enough room for installing the electric connection box, it is strongly desired to reduce the size of the electric connection box.

[0005] As shown in FIG.
It is conceivable to employ a configuration in which the input / output terminals 52 and 53 of the fuse 50 are inserted and press-contacted to the press-contact slot 63 and the relay terminal 60 is omitted.
In this case, as much as the relay terminal 60 can be omitted, the fuse 50
However, the height of the electric connection box 55 can be slightly reduced, and the thickness of the electric connection box 55 can be reduced to some extent, and the problem cannot be truly solved.

In order to solve the above-mentioned first problem, the present invention relates to a method of connecting an insulating resin case to an input terminal, an output terminal, and the input / output terminal disposed inside the case. The input terminal and the output terminal are located at the same position as the end surface of the case, and the input terminal and the output terminal are input over a required length range from the distal end surface of the input terminal and the output terminal. Notches are provided on both the front and back surfaces of the case so that the terminals and output terminals are partially exposed, and the exposed portions of these input terminals and output terminals are used as electrical contacts with the counterpart terminal to reduce the overall height, In addition, the case has anti-scratch ribs on both sides of the case in the thickness direction orthogonal to the front and back surfaces of the case where the input / output terminals are arranged in parallel. It provides a fuse, characterized in that is provided.

In the above fuse, the portion exposed by the cutout of the case becomes a contact portion with the counterpart terminal, so that electrical contact can be made without any trouble. Further, the input / output terminals do not protrude from the bottom surface on the mounting side of the case, and the height of the fuse can be reduced to the height of the case.

Further, in the fuse of the present invention, the case is shaped into a flat shape in which the thickness between the front and back surfaces is reduced, and the input / output terminals are arranged in a direction parallel to the front and back surfaces of the case. In addition to the normal arrangement, a twist prevention rib is provided which protrudes outward in a direction (thickness direction) perpendicular to the front and back surfaces of the case. That is, since the ribs are protrudingly provided at the four corners of the case, when inserted into the fuse accommodating portion of the electric connection box, the above-mentioned prying prevention rib can be inserted while sliding along the inner surface of the fuse accommodating portion. , Can be prevented from being inserted with the input / output terminal twisted.

Although the case shaped into a flat shape is compact, the case is easily tilted when press-fitting into a mating terminal (tab provided with a press-fitting slot), so that the input / output terminal of the fuse cannot be inserted straight and the terminal cannot be inserted. It tends to be prying. However, since the case is provided with the rib, the rib is guided straight by the rib, and it is possible to prevent the input / output terminal of the fuse from being twisted.

The cutouts on both front and back sides of the case are provided on both sides in the width direction, and the above-mentioned ribs are provided on the outer edges of both sides where these cutouts are provided. These prying prevention ribs may be provided only in the notched portions, or may be provided in the entire height direction of the case.

Further, an identification rib protruding in the thickness direction is provided at one or both inner ends of the pair of cutouts exposing the input terminal and the output terminal. The above-mentioned identification rib is adapted to identify the capacity of the fuse. For example, a fuse for 5 amps is provided with one identification rib at the inner end of one of the cutouts, and a fuse for 10 ampere is provided with a pair of cutouts. If two are provided at both inner ends, the fuse capacity can be identified by the number of identification ribs.

The number of input / output terminals and the number of fusing portions in the fuse of the present invention is not limited to a specific number.
One input terminal may be provided, two output terminals and two fusing portions may be provided, and two output terminals may be connected to one input terminal via the fusing portions, respectively, to form a so-called multi-fuse. In the case of a multi-fuse, the number of fuses conventionally required two can be reduced to one, and the volume occupied by the fuses can be reduced, which can contribute to the miniaturization of the electric junction box.

In the electric connection box of the present invention, the exposed portion of the input / output terminal of the fuse is inserted into the press-fitting slot provided on the bus bar, so that the fuse is inserted into the press-fitting slot at the notch above the bottom surface of the case. Will be connected. As described above, when the height of the fuse is lowered to the height of the case and the connection position between the input / output terminal of the fuse and the press-fitting slot is higher than the bottom surface of the case, the interval between the fuse and the press-fitting slot becomes narrower. To that extent, the thickness of the electric junction box can be reduced. Furthermore, if the tip end of the tab is a slot for receiving and holding the terminal of the fuse, the relay terminal is not required at all, so that the thickness of the electric connection box can be reduced accordingly.

When the fuse 1 is mounted on the electric junction box 7, the fuse 1 is inserted into the fuse accommodating section 11. At that time, first, the prying prevention ribs 2d to 2d at the four corners of the case 2
g comes into contact with the inner surface of the peripheral wall of the fuse accommodating portion 11, and the torsion prevention ribs 2d to 2g are guided by the inner surface of the peripheral wall to slide and insert the case 2, so that the case 2 is not twisted at the time of insertion.

As shown in FIG. 8, the position of the case 2 is regulated by the twist prevention ribs 2d to 2g even at the time of press-fitting.
3 and press-fit straight into the terminals 3 so as not to deform these terminals. That is, the case 2 shaped into a rectangular flat shape is compact, but without the torsion prevention ribs 2d to 2g, the case 2 is easily inclined when connected to the pressure-contacting slot 13 which is a counterpart terminal, and the fuse 1 cannot be inserted. -Output terminals 3 and 4 cannot be inserted straight and tend to be twisted. However, since the pry prevention ribs 2d to 2g abut against the inner surface of the fuse accommodating portion, the posture of the case 2 to be inserted does not always tilt stably, and the input / output terminals 3 and 4 of the fuse 1 are inserted straight and the terminals are pryed. No more worries. In addition, since each of the terminals 3 and 4 is surrounded by the torsion preventing ribs 2d to 2g, the torsion preventing ribs 2d to 2g also exhibit a function of protecting the terminals 3 and 4.

As described above, in the electric junction box 7, the height of the fuse 1 is reduced to the height h of the case 2 and the connection position between the input / output terminals 3 and 4 of the fuse 1 and the press-fitting slot 13 is changed to the case 2. Above the bottom surface 2a of the fuse 1
Since the distance between the contact box 13 and the pressure contact slot 13 is reduced, the thickness of the electric connection box 7 can be reduced accordingly. Further, the tip side of the tab 12 is inserted into the exposed portion of each of the terminals 3 and 4 of the fuse 1 so as to be pinched and pinched.
3, since no relay terminal is required, the thickness can be reduced accordingly. As a result, the electric connection box 7 can be sufficiently reduced in size.

FIG. 9 shows a fuse 1 'of the second embodiment, in which identification ribs 20, 21 are projected from the inner edges of the notches 6A, 6B exposing the input / output terminals 3, 4. In addition,
As shown in FIGS. 10A and 10B, the identification ribs 20 or 21 may be provided in one of the notches 6A and 6B. In this way, there are three types, that is, when both of the identification ribs 20 and 21 are provided, or when only one of them is provided. These three types of identification ribs are selectively used in accordance with the fuse capacity, and are provided with only the identification rib 20 for 1 amp, only the identification rib 21 for 5 amps, and the identification ribs 20 and 21 for 10 amps. It is assumed that. As described above, the fuse capacity can be easily identified by properly using the identification rib.

FIG. 11 shows a fuse 1 "of the third embodiment, in which twist prevention ribs 2d" to 2g "are formed to have a height approximately half the total height near the bottom of the case provided with cutouts 6A and 6B. Even when the ribs 2d "to 2g" are provided only on the bottom side of the case, when the fuse is inserted into the fuse accommodating portion, the ribs 2d "to 2d" are formed.
Since 2 g "abuts on the inner surface of the peripheral wall of the fuse accommodating portion, the occurrence of twisting can be prevented.

In the fuse 1, the input / output terminals 3, 4
Although the number of the fusing portions 5 is one each, the number is not limited thereto. For example, one input terminal is provided, two output terminals and two fusing portions are provided, and two output terminals are connected to one input terminal via the fusing portions, respectively, to form a so-called multi-fuse. Is also good. In the case of a multi-fuse, two fuses conventionally required can be reduced to one and the occupied volume of the fuse can be reduced, so that the electric junction box can be further downsized.

As is apparent from the above description, according to the fuse of the present invention, the input / output terminal is exposed by the cutout provided on the insertion side in the case made of insulating resin. The tip of the other part of the terminal does not protrude beyond the bottom surface of the case, the height of the fuse is reduced to the height of the case, and the fuse can be made sufficiently compact. Even if the fuse case has a flat shape with a small thickness between the front and back sides, the prying prevention ribs are protruding at the four corners of the case, so when inserting the electrical junction box into the fuse accommodating part, Since the prevention rib is inserted while being in contact with the inner surface of the peripheral wall of the fuse accommodating portion, the input / output terminal of the fuse is inserted straight without the posture of the case being stably tilted, thereby preventing the terminal from being twisted.

Further, according to the electric junction box of the present invention, the height of the fuse connected to and attached to the pressure-contact slot provided in the bus bar is reduced to the height of the case, and the input / output terminal of the fuse is press-contacted. The connection position of the connection slot is higher than the bottom of the case, and the gap between the fuse and the press-fitting slot is narrowed, so that the thickness of the electrical connection box can be reduced accordingly, and the tip of the tab is connected to the terminal of the fuse. Since the slot is designed to receive and press-clamp and hold the relay box, there is no need for a relay terminal at all. Therefore, the thickness of the electric connection box can be reduced accordingly, and the electric connection box can be sufficiently miniaturized.
