- 【特許請求の範囲】 1.たて糸が主体とよこ糸が主体との層で成る層の積層を有する複合材料を構築 する方法であって、 構築に使用するための材料の第1と第2の片(10,12)を、たて糸が主体か そうでない層(14)によって少くとも一部分が規定されている窪み(20;2 6;47)とともに、互に並べて配置することと、 前記材料の第1と第2の片(10,12)の一方の少くとも一部分(12a;1 2b;12c)を前記窪み(20;26;47)内に配置して材料の第1と第2 の片(10,12)の他方の部分(10a)とラップジョイント(21;32; 33;48)を形成するようにし、ここで前記材料の第1と第2のの片(10, 12)の前記部分(10a,12a;10b,12b;10c,12c)はよこ 糸が主体の層(16,18)を含んでいるようにすることを含んでいることを特 徴とする方法。 2.前記材料の第1と第2の片(10,12)の各々はたて糸が主体の層(14 )とよこ糸が主体の層(16,18)とを備えた層の積層で成り、 前記方法は同じ方向に延びている各片のたて糸が主体の層の縁端とともに互に並 んで材料の2つの片(10,12)を配置することを含んでいることを特徴とす る請求項1記載の方法。 3.複合材料の前記第1の片(10)の縁端に前記窪み(20)を形成すること を特徴とする請求項2記載の方法。 4.複合材料の第2の片(12)の対応する縁端を同じやり方で形成することを 特徴とする請求項3記載の方法。 5.前記第1の片(10)のたて糸が主体の層(14)の前記縁端をラップジョ イント(21)の一部分を形成しているよこ糸が主体の層(16,18)の隣接 する縁端から後方に設定することにより前記窪み(20)を形成することを特徴 とする請求項3もしくは4記載の方法。 6.前記材料の第2の片(12)のたて糸が主体の層(14)の厚さを前記縁端 の近くで減らして、たて糸が主体の層(14)の残りの部分がラップジョイント (21)を形成するために前記窪み(20)に入ることができるようにすること を特徴とする請求項3,4,5のいずれか1項記載の方法。 7.前記材料の第1の片(10)の対応する縁端を同じやり方で形成することを 特徴とする請求項6記載の方法。 8.前記第2の片(12)のたて糸が主体の層(14)の縁端と当接するように 前記第2の片(12)のたて糸が主体の層(14)の前記残りの部分の縁端を位 置決めすることを特徴とする請求項6もしくは7記載の方法。 9.長さのある薄い方のたて糸が主体の材料(24)をたて糸が主体の層の端の 間もしくはたて糸が主体の層(14)の幅の内部に置くことにより前記窪み(2 6)を形成することを特徴とする請求項1または2記載の方法。 10.第1の片の材料(10)のたて糸が主体の層の縁端上にたて糸が主体の材料 の薄い方の長さを備えるようにし、第2の片の材料(12)のたて糸が主体の層 (14)の縁端に対向して薄い方の長さ(24)を当接させることとを含む請求 項2に従属する請求項9記載の方法。 11.前記長さのある薄い方のたて糸が主体の材料(24)が、たて糸が主体の層 を作るために使われる繊維よりも、大きな繊維数もしくは大きな指数の繊維から 作られていることを特徴とする請求項9または10記載の方法。 12.唯一の片(12)のよこ糸が主体の層(16,18)の部分(12b;12 c)が、少くとも一部分が重なっている他の片の他のよこ糸が主体の層(16, 18)の部分(10b;10c)と共に前記窪み(26)内にくるように置いて 、前記ラップジョイント(32)を形成することを特徴とする請求項9ないし1 1のいずれか1項記載の方法。 13.前記他の片(10)の他のよこ糸が主体の層(16,18)の前記部分を、 前記材料(12)の一片のよこ糸が主体の層(16,18)の部分(12c)の 全部と重ねて置くことを特徴とする請求項12記載の方法。 14.よこ糸が主体の層(34,34a)をラップジョイント(32,33)の外 側に置くことを特徴とする請求項9ないし13のいずれか1項記載の方法。 15.前記窪み(47)をたて糸が主体の層(14)の一方の表面内の溝として形 成し、かつ別のよこ糸が主体の層(40)を窪みのあるたて糸が主体の層(14 )の反対側の表面上に備えることを特徴とする請求項1記載の方法。 16.前記材料の2片(10,12)を機械にかけてラップジョイント(21;3 2;33)、たて糸が主体の層(14)及び別のよこ糸が主体の層(40)を単 一の層形成動作によって形成することを特徴とする請求項15記載の方法。 17.ジョイントされた材料の2つの層(10,12)を、一方の層が他の、2つ の層の外側表面を形成するよこ糸が主体の層(16,18)に関して反転するよ うに形成することを特徴とする請求項1ないし16のいずれか1項記載の方法。 18.ジョイントされた材料の2つの層(10,12)を、一方の層が他の、2つ の層の外側表面を形成するたて糸が主体の層(14)に関して反転するように形 成することを特徴とする請求項1ないし16のいずれか1項記載の方法。 19.前記よこ糸が主体の層(16,18)はたて糸が主体の層(14)に関して +45度と−45度とに置かれた層で成ることを特徴とする請求項1ないし18 のいずれか1項記載の方法。 20.別なよこ糸が主体の層(40)はたて糸が主体の層に対して90度で置かれ た層で成ることを特徴とする請求項15記載の方法。 21.前記方法で作られた複合材料がよこ糸が主体の層に対して直角の幅寸法が1 .7mを超えている請求項1ないし20のいずれか1項記載の方法。 22.請求項1ないし21のいずれか1項記載の方法によりジョイントされた材料 により形成された外板を備えた翼。 23.請求項1ないし21のいずれか1項記載の方法によりジョイントされた材料 により形成された外板を備えた航空機。 24.たて糸が主体とよこ糸が主体の層(14及び16,18)で成る層の積層を 有する複合材料構造であって、 この構造は互に並べて配置された材料の第1と第2の片(10,12)と、たて 糸が主体か他の層(14)により少くとも一部分が規定されている窪み(20; 26;47)と、該窪み(20;26;47)内に受入れられている前記材料片 の一方(12)の部分とがあり、かつ材料の他方の部分(10a;10b;10 c)とラップジョイントが形成されていて、材料の第1と第2の片(10,12 )の前記部分にはよこ糸が主体の層(16,18)を含んでいることを特徴とす る構造。 25.前記材料の2片(10,12)の各々はたて糸が主体の層(14)とよこ糸 が主体の層(16,18)とを含み、材料の各片(10,12)のたて糸が主体 の層は同じ方向に延在する請求項24記載の複合材料構造。 26.前記窪み(20)が材料の第1の片(10)の縁端内に形成されている請求 項24記載の複合材料構造。 27.前記窪み(20)が前記第1の片(10)のたて糸が主体の層(14)の縁 端を前記ラップジョイント(21)の一部を形成するよこ糸が主体の層(16, 18)の隣接する縁端の後に置くことにより形成されていることを特徴とする請 求項26記載の複合材料構造。 28.薄い方のたて糸が主体の層(24)はたて糸が主体の層(14)の縁端間か たて糸が主体の層(14)の幅の内部に置かれて前記窪み(26)を形成するこ とを特徴とする請求項24記載の複合材料構造。 29.前記窪みはたて糸が主体の層(14)の一方の表面内で溝の形をしており、 また別のよこ糸が主体の層(40)が該たて糸が主体の層(14)の反対側の表 面上に置かれていることを特徴とする請求項25ないし28のいずれか1項記載 の複合材料構造。 30.前記構造はたて糸が主体の層と90度にある幅寸法が1.7mを越えている ことを特徴とする請求項24ないし28のいずれか1項記載の複合材料構造。 31.前記請求項24ないし30のいずれか1項記載の複合材料構造で形成された 外板を有する翼。 32.前記請求項24ないし30のいずれか1項記載の複合材料構造で形成された 外板を有する航空機。
