【請求項1】 水溶性及び/又は加水分解により水溶性となる1種以上のラジカル重合性単量体(a)と重量平均分子量1000未満の架橋剤(b)を、水存在下でラジカル重合させて吸水性樹脂を製造する方法において、共重合性二重結合を分子内に2個以上有する重量平均分子量1000〜30万の水溶性若しくは水分散性若しくは水膨潤性若しくは吸水性の親水性樹脂(c)を共存させて重合を行うことを特徴とする吸水性樹脂(A1)の製造法。
【請求項2】 (c)が、水溶性のラジカル重合性単量体及び/若しくは加水分解により水溶性となるラジカル重合性単量体を重合して得た樹脂に二重結合及び官能性基を有する化合物を反応して二重結合を導入する方法により得られるものである請求項1記載の製造法。
【請求項3】 前記二重結合及び官能性基を有する化合物が、スルホン酸(塩)基、カルボン酸(塩)基、水酸基、エポキシ基、カルボン酸無水物基、アミノ基からなる群から選ばれる官能性基と二重結合を含有する化合物の1種以上である請求項2記載の製造法。
【請求項4】 (c)の量が(a)に対して5〜50質量%である請求項1〜3のいずれか記載の製造法。
【請求項5】 請求項1〜4のいずれか記載の製造法で得られる粒子状の吸水性樹脂(A1)を、架橋剤(d)でさらに表面架橋する吸水性樹脂(A2)の製造法。
【請求項6】 請求項1〜5の何れか記載の製造法により得られ(1)生理食塩水に対する保水量が28g/g以上、(2)生理食塩水による3時間抽出後の水可溶性成分量が15%以下である吸水性樹脂。
【請求項7】 請求項5記載の製造法により得られ(1)生理食塩水に対する保水量が30g/g以上、(2)20g/cm2荷重下における生理食塩水に対する吸収量が25g/g以上、(3)40g/cm2荷重下における生理食塩水に対する吸収量が20g/g以上、(4)60g/cm2荷重下における生理食塩水に対する吸収量が15g/g以上、(5)生理食塩水による3時間抽出後の水可溶性成分量が12%以下である吸水性樹脂。
【請求項8】 請求項6又は7に記載の吸水性樹脂からなる衛生材料。
