2. Description of the Related Art Conventionally, rod-shaped grips such as golf clubs, various ball game rackets, baseball bats, fishing rods, and hockey sticks have been formed by spirally winding a grip tape having a belt-shaped tape body. Are known. These grip tapes include, for example, Japanese Utility Model Laid-Open No. 4-117.
As shown in Japanese Patent No. 751, Japanese Patent Application Laid-Open No. 751/1995, at both ends in the longitudinal direction of the tape main body, there are provided concave portions that are concave in opposite directions on the front and back sides of the tape main body, and the entire width excluding the central portion along the longitudinal direction of the tape main body. It has been known that a cushion portion is provided, and when the tape main body is wound around the grip, winding portions having substantially the same thickness as the cushion portion can be wound by overlapping the concave portions which are concave on the front and back in opposite directions. In addition, as shown in Japanese Utility Model Registration No. 3016571, thin portions are provided at both longitudinal edges of the tape main body, and when the tape main body is wound around the grip, both longitudinal edges of the tape main body must not overlap. It is known that winding of substantially the same thickness is made possible by such a method. Further, as shown in JP-A-6-7488, a margin is provided along both longitudinal edges of the tape main body, and the width of the tape main body along the longitudinal direction is wider than the entire width excluding the margin. It is known that a narrow cushion portion is provided, and when the tape main body is wound around the grip, the surplus portions are overlapped with each other to enable winding with irregularities formed on the surface.

By the way, the grip tape constructed as described above, for example, Japanese Utility Model Laid-Open No. 4-117.
In the structure disclosed in Japanese Patent No. 751, since the surplus portions that are overlapped when the tape body is sequentially wound around the grip are concave in the opposite direction on the front and back, the surrogate portion and the cushion portion are formed separately. However, there has been a problem that it is difficult to process the product and the process is restricted. In addition, utility model registration 30
In the device disclosed in Japanese Patent No. 16571, since the longitudinal edges of the tape body do not overlap when the tape body is wound around the grip, thin portions are provided at both longitudinal edges of the tape body. Coupled with
Water droplets, dust and the like enter between both edges of the adjacent tape main body, so that the tape is easily peeled off and the edges are easily crushed, resulting in poor durability. Further, Japanese Unexamined Patent Publication No.
In the device disclosed in Japanese Patent No. 7488, since the surface of the grip is uneven, the edges of the tape main body are liable to be crushed, which is not only inferior in durability but also both edges of the adjacent tape main body. Since there is no standard for the overlap margin of the parts, there has been a problem that the winding is likely to vary. The present invention has been made in view of the above circumstances,
An object of the present invention is to provide a grip tape that can be easily formed and processed irrespective of whether it is integrated or separate, and that can achieve improved winding ease and durability.

DESCRIPTION OF THE PREFERRED EMBODIMENTS Next, an embodiment of a grip tape according to the present invention will be described with reference to the drawings, applied to a golf club. 5A and 5B, reference numeral 1 denotes a golf club (not shown), 2 denotes a shaft of the golf club 1, 3 denotes a grip of the golf club 1, and 4 denotes a grip tape wound around the grip 3. The winding direction of the grip tape 4 is different for right-handed (FIG. 5A) and left-handed (FIG. 5B). As shown in FIG. 1A, the grip tape 4 includes a band-shaped tape main body 5 and a cushion portion 6 attached to the back surface of the tape main body 5 with an adhesive or the like (not shown). The tape body 5 is a predetermined length (for example, length L1 = 1000 to 1200 mm) made of polyester nonwoven fabric or urethane resin.
The width between arrows B-B (for example, 2 mm) is larger than the width between the marks A-A (for example, 27 mm) in FIG.
2 mm), that is, the tape body 5 is
The width gradually decreases from the start end (one end of the golf club 1) to the end (the other end (the club head side) of the golf club 1). Also, at both longitudinal edges of the tape body 5, like the whole tape body 5, the margins 5 a, 5 a, of a predetermined width (for example, 6.5 mm to 5 mm) which become narrower from the winding start end to the end.
5b is provided. Further, at one end (winding start end side) of the tape main body 5, a reference portion 5c is formed by diagonally cutting the substitute portion 5a side and tapering. Further, a tapered reference portion 5d is formed at the ground end (winding end portion side) of the tape main body 5 by diagonally cutting the substitute portion 5b side. The reference portions 5c and 5d have substantially the same length (for example, the length L2
= 170 mm). The reference portions 5c, 5
d is for right-handed use, and in the case of left-handed use, as shown in FIG. 2, the tapered reference portion 5e is obtained by diagonally cutting the substitute portion 5b side of one end (winding start end side) of the tape body 5. Becomes The reference portions 5c, 5d, and 5e may be formed in advance in a molding step such as injection molding or punching of the tape main body 5, or may be separately cut and removed. The cushion part 6 is molded from a polyester nonwoven fabric or a urethane resin,
It is provided over the entire width except for the substitute portions 5a and 5b. Also,
As shown in FIG. 1C, the cushion portion 6 has a thickness T1 substantially equal to the thickness T2 of the tape body 5.
The cushion 6 may be integral with the tape body 5. On the other hand, a weakly viscous adhesive is provided on the back surfaces of the substitute portions 5a and 5b and the back surface of the cushion portion 6. In the above configuration, when the grip tape 4 is wound around the grip 3, the winding is started by aligning the reference portion 5 c along a plane perpendicular to the axis of the grip 3 to start the winding.
The subsequent portions are naturally spirally wound in a predetermined diagonal order. At this time, as shown in FIG. 3, the margin 5b on the winding end overlaps with the margin 5b on the winding start end. In addition, this overlap can be made to be a substantially flat surface due to the fact that the cushion portion 6 is provided over the entire width except for the substitute portions 5a and 5b, and the tape body is also provided. 5 is a material having elasticity and is very thin, so that the adjacent margin 4
Winding is possible with almost no gap between a and 4b and between the cushion portions 6. In addition, since the reference portion 5c is wound along the plane perpendicular to the axis, an error in the winding direction is prevented, and confusion may occur in winding in the opposite direction for right-handed and left-handed use. And the direction in which the user's hand is gripped (direction toward the fingertip) and the winding direction are not reversed,
Even when a weakly viscous adhesive is used, peeling is less likely to occur. Moreover, since the tape body 5 gradually decreases in width from the start end to the end when the tape main body 5 is wound around the grip 3, the diameter decreases toward the end like the grip 3. It can be easily wound around an object without impairing the appearance. Similarly, since the reference end portion 5d is also provided at the winding end portion, the winding end portion can also be along the plane perpendicular to the axis, and as a whole, a good-looking grip free from twisting and wrinkling is generated. The surface can be configured. In addition, as described above, since the grip surface is flat and the winding is performed without any gaps, it is difficult for the longitudinal edges of the tape body 5 to be crushed, and the durability is improved. . In addition, FIG.
As shown in (B), grooves 5f, 5g and groove 6a along the edge direction of the tape body 5 may be formed on the back surfaces of the substitute portions 5a, 5b and the back surface of the cushion portion 6. The grooves 5f, 5g, and 6a improve cushioning when the grip 3 is gripped, and can reduce the area of adhesion to the grip 3, thereby improving ease of peeling the grip tape 4. In addition, an effect of preventing damage can be obtained. In addition, it is possible to facilitate the winding operation when winding the grip tape 4 around the grip 3 and to improve the effect of preventing the occurrence of wrinkles. The grooves 5f, 5g, 6a may extend in a direction perpendicular to the inclination direction of the reference portion 5c, for example. In this case, when the grip tape 4 is wound around the grip 3, the grooves 5f,
Since the extending directions of 5g and 6a substantially coincide with the axial direction of grip 3, twisting and the like when gripping grip 3 can be allowed, and the durability of grip tape 3 can be further improved. By the way, in the above-described embodiment, an example in which the present invention is applied to a grip for a golf club is described. However, it is needless to say that the present invention can be applied to general rod-shaped grips such as various ball game rackets, baseball bats, fishing rods, and hockey sticks. It is.

As described above, in the grip tape of the present invention, when the tape main body is wound around the grip, they overlap each other with substantially the same width, and on the same plane before the tape main body is wound around the grip. A flat part is provided along both longitudinal edges of the tape body,
By providing a cushion portion that straddles the entire width of the tape body excluding each surplus portion and protrudes from the back surface of the surplus portion to the back side of the tape body at the center along the longitudinal direction of the tape body, It is easy to form and process regardless of whether it is integral with or separate from the cushion portion, and it is also possible to improve the ease of winding and the durability.
