管部の防音対策よりも管継手部の防音対策の方が有効で
あることが判る。また、直管の内管に硬質塩化ビニル管
のVPを用いると遮音シートを用いた耐火二層管と同様
の防音効果がある。特に、耐火二層管の直管の塩ビ管を
VPとすれば、VUに対し厚さで約2倍、重量で約1.
9倍となり、直管部分に制振遮音シートを施さなくて
も、流水時の十分な騒音防止効果がある。
