The absorbent article includes a longitudinally extending absorbent article and includes a main body portion having a pair of longitudinal side edges, a pair of edges, an underwear surface, and a body surface. The underwear surface of the main body portion is arranged on the wearer's underwear. The absorbent article is joined to the main body portion, and has a pair of first flaps extending laterally and outward beyond the longitudinal side edge of the main body portion, and a lengthwise gap from the first flap. And a pair of second flaps extending laterally and outwardly beyond a longitudinal side edge of the main body portion. The underwear surface of each of the first and second flaps has a first flap fastener and a second flap fastener, respectively. The main wrapper sheet is positioned adjacent to the underwear surface of the main body portion. The main wrapper sheet and the main body portion of the absorbent article include two transverse axes and three regions separated by these axes. The three regions include a first region where the majority of the first flap extends, a second region where the majority of the second flap extends, and a third region, including two traverses. The directional axis is a first axis extending laterally between the first region and the second region, and a second axis extending laterally between the first region and the third region. ァスナカバーも、フラップから取り外さなければならない。 １９９５年７月１８日に公開された日本国実開平７−３９８２０号は、トップ シート、バックシート、および吸収コアを有する衛生ナプキン主本体を備えた衛 生ナプキンを開示している。衛生ナプキンは又、衛生ナプキンを使用するときに 股部領域の装着者の下着の縁部のまわりに折り畳まれる一対のフラップを備えて に股部領域の装着者の下着の縁部のまわりに折り畳まれる。接着剤層を備えた衛 生ナプキンの下着側は、取り外し可能に処理されたラッパーによって包まれてい る。包装された衛生ナプキンは、折り線のまわりで、ラッパーとともに折り畳ま れる。この文献は、ラッパーの一部がフラップの接着剤層を被覆する、衛生ナプ キンのパッケージング構造体を更に開示している。すなわち、ラッパーの横断方 リップ状シートの形態で剥がされるように、ラッピングシートの内面に堅固に結 合されている。しかしながら、これらの文献は、吸収物品の長さ方向においてフ ラップから離れた別の一対のフラップを有する吸収物品の構成を開示していない 。 別の型式の吸収物品は、吸収手段の両方の長さ方向側縁部の背部領域から側方 かつ外方に延びた一対のフラップを備えている。第２の型式の吸収物品のフラッ 方の背部側に接着剤層を有する一対の背部フラップ部分と、主剥離紙によって被 覆された主接着剤層とを備えている。背部フラップ部分は、背部フラップ部分の 接着剤層が上方に向き、フラップ剥離紙が接着剤層に取付けられるように、トッ プシート上に折り畳まれる。ラッパーが、第１の接着剤を使用することによって 、主剥離紙の非剥離処理された面に接合されている。衛生ナプキンは、フラップ 剥離紙が衛生ナプキンの前部分のバックシート側に面するように、ラッパーとと もに、３つの領域に折り畳まれている。衛生ナプキンの前部分を被覆するラッパ ーは、第２の接着剤を使用することによって、フラップ剥離紙の非剥離処理され た面に接合されている。しかしながら、この文献は、吸収物品の長さ方向におい てフラップから離れた別の対のフラップを有する吸収物品の構成を開示していな い。 衛生ナプキンのような従来技術の吸収物品が、個々に包装された吸収物品を得 ることに関する幾つかの課題に取り組んでいるが、本発明ほどには課題に取り組 んでいない。したがって、本発明の主な目的は、改良された個々に包装された吸 収物品を提供することである。 発明の概要 本発明は、個々に包装された吸収物品であって、（ａ）長さ方向に延び、一対 の長さ方向側縁部、一対の端縁部、下着面、および身体面を有する主本体部分を 含む吸収物品を備え、主本体部分の下着面が、装着者の下着に配置され、吸収物 品が、主本体部分に接合され、主本体部分の長さ方向側縁部を超えて側方かつ外 方に延びた一対の第１のフラップと、第１のフラップから長さ方向に間隔を隔て て主本体部分に接合され、主本体部分の長さ方向側縁部を超えて側方かつ外方に 延びた一対の第２のフラップとを含み、第１および第２のフラップの各々の下着 面が、第１のフラップファスナおよび第２のフラップファスナをそれぞれ有し、 第１および第２のフラップが、フラップファスナを露出させるように、主本体部 分の身体面上に折り畳まれ、（ｂ）吸収物品用のラッパーを備え、ラッパーが、 主ラッパーシートと、フラップファスナカバーと、第２のフラップファスナカバ 次に図面を参照して、本発明の非限定的な好ましい実施例について説明する。 第１図、第２図、および第３図に示されるように、本発明は、使い捨て吸収物品 （特に、衛生ナプキン２０）用のラッパー７８を備えている。 衛生ナプキン２０は、経血のような生理排出物を収集し、このような排出物に よって装着者の衣服が汚れるのを防止するのに使用される。第１図および第２図 に示されるように、衛生ナプキン２０は基本的に、主本体部分２２と、第１のフ ラップ２４と、第２のフラップ２５とを備えている。衛生ナプキン２０の主本体 部分２２は、主本体部分２２を装着者の下着に固定するための、感圧接着剤ファ スナ７４のようなファスナを有しているのがよい。第１のフラップ２４は好まし くは、衛生ナプキン２０の第１のフラップ２４を装着者の下着の股の縁部のまわ コア４２よりも全体として大きな長さと幅を有している。トップシート３８とバ ックシート４０は、吸収コア４２の縁部を超えて延び、周囲３０の部分を形成し ている。トップシート３８は好ましくは、吸収コア４２の身体側に接合され、バ ックシート４０は好ましくは、吸収コア４２の下着側に接合されている。トップ シート３８とバックシート４０は、接着剤の開放パターン等のような、公知の適 当な方法で吸収コア４２に接合されている。吸収コア４２の縁部を超えて延びた トップシート３８とバックシート４０の部分も、好ましくは、互いに接合されて いる。トップシート３８とバックシート４０のこれらの部分は、公知の適当な方 法で接合してもよい。好ましくは、図示した実施例では、トップシート３８とバ ックシート４０のこれらの部分は、吸収コア４２の縁部を超えて延びた部分の実 ５６を形成する適当な構造が、ラバッシュ等に付与された米国特許第５，３８９ ， ０９４号、および１９９５年１月３０日にシュー・Ａ・ミルズ等によって出願さ れた米国特許出願０８／３８０，７６９号に記載されている。 衛生ナプキン２０は好ましくは、衛生ナプキン２０を装着者の下着の適所に固 定するためのファスナを有している。第１図および第２図は、中央パッド接着剤 ７４のような主本体部分（すなわち、中央パッド）のファスナ、および第１のフ ラップの接着剤７６と第２のフラップの接着剤７７のようなフラップファスナを 備えた、ファスナの好ましい構成を示している。衛生ナプキン２０に使用される ファスナは、接着剤ファスナに限定されない。公知の適当な種類のファスナを、 この目的のために使用することができる。例えば、衛生ナプキン２０は、ベルク ロのような機械的ファスナ、又は接着剤と機械的ファスナの組合せによって、装 着者の下着の適所に固定することができる。しかしながら、簡単のために、ファ スナは、接着剤ファスナとして説明する。適当な感圧接着剤ファスナが、米国特 許第４，９１７，６９７号に詳細に記載されている。 中央パッド接着剤７４、第１のフラップの接着剤７６、および第２のフラップ の接着剤７７は、適当な形体で提供することができる。図示した好ましい実施例 では、中央パッド接着剤７４は、長さ方向中心線Ｌのまわりに中心決めされた長 さ方向に配向された接着剤ストリップの形体で提供されている。第１のフラップ の接着剤７６と第２のフラップの接着剤７７は、それぞれ第１のフラップ２４お よび第２のフラップ２５上の略矩形のパッチの形体で提供されている。或いは、 第１のフラップの接着剤７６と第２のフラップの接着剤７７は、円形、矩形、三 角形のような任意の形状でもよい。第１図に示される好ましい実施例では、第２ のフラップの接着剤７７は、第１の端縁部７７Ａと、第２の端縁部７７Ｂと、長 さ方向側縁部とを有している。第２のフラップの接着剤７７の形状が円形である 場合には、第１の端縁部７７Ａと第２の端縁部７７Ｂは、長さ方向の端部に位置 する箇所である。中央パッド接着剤７４は、衛生ナプキン２０の主本体部分２２ をパンティの股部分に固定するための接着剤取付け手段を提供する。第１のフラ ップの接着剤７６は、第１のフラップ２４をパンティの股部分の縁部のまわりに 巻付けた後に第１のフラップ２４を適所に維持するのを助けるのに使用される。 第２のフラップの接着剤７７は、第２のフラップ２５をパンティの内側の背部領 域で広げた後に第２のフラップ２５を適所に維持するのを助けるのに使用される 。フラップは、フラップ２４を下着に又は対向するフラップに取付けることによ って、適所に維持される。 第１図〜第４図、第５図、および第６図は、本発明のラッパー７８の或る好ま しい変形例を示している。全体として参照符号７８で示されるラッパーは、幾つ かの要素を備えている。これらの要素は、単一部材又は物品の一体部分を備えて 第２の端部分８０Ｂを有している。しかしながら、衛生ナプキン２０の主本体部 分２２よりも大きくないラッパーによって、衛生ナプキン２０の十分な保護を得 ることもできる。 主ラッパーシート８０は、任意の適当な材料で形成することができる。主ラッ パーシート８０は好ましくは、使用済みの衛生ナプキン２０を包んで廃棄するの にラッパー７８が適するように、液体不透過性の薄い可撓性の材料で製造される 。例えば、ポリエチレンフィルムが、良好に機能することが分かっている。 装着者がラッパー７８から衛生ナプキン２０を取り出すときに主本体部分８０ が中央パッド接着剤７４から剥離するように、主ラッパーシート８０に、剥離紙 （又は、剥離コーティング）８２のような、任意的な剥離構成要素を設けること ができる。別個の剥離紙を使用する場合には、剥離紙は、被覆紙のような公知の 適当な材料を有してもよい。適当な剥離紙が、米国特許第４，９１７，６９７号 に記載されている。このような剥離紙８２は、第３図および第６図に示されるよ うに、主ラッパーシート８０の内面に積層される。剥離コーティングを使用する 場合には、コーティングは、主ラッパーシート８０の内面に直接塗布することが できる。このようなコーティングは、公知の材料を含むことができるが、シリコ ンコーティングが好ましい。コーティングを使用する場合には、中央パッド接着 剤７４に実質的に接触する主ラッパーシート８０の帯域のみに塗布することによ って、コーティング８２を提供してもよい。或いは、主ラッパーシート８０の内 面全体に塗布してもよい。ラッパーの内面全体のコーティングが、１９９３年１ 月２６日にクィック等に付与された米国特許第５，１８１，６１０号（非粘着内 部を有する可撓性コンテナ）に開示されている。 第１のフラップの接着剤カバー（又は、“フラップ剥離ストリップ”）８７と 第２のフラップの接着剤カバー８９は、第１のフラップの接着剤７６と第２のフ ラップの接着剤７７をそれぞれ被覆して保護し、パッケージングのためにトップ シート３８上に折り畳まれた適所に第１のフラップ２４と第２のフラップ２５を 維持する。第２図に示される好ましい実施例では、第１のフラップの接着剤カバ ー８７と第２のフラップの接着剤カバー８９は、第１のフラップの接着剤カバー ８７と第２のフラップの接着剤カバー８９が主ラッパーシート８０と一緒に組み 立てられる形体をなして、第２の領域４１に全体として延びている。第１のフラ ップの接着剤カバー８７は好ましくは、主ラッパーシート８０に接合されており 、第２のフラップの接着剤カバー８９は好ましくは、第１のフラップの接着剤カ バー８７に接合されている。 第１のフラップの接着剤カバー８７は好ましくは、第１の領域３９に延びてお り、第２のフラップの接着剤カバー８９は好ましくは、第４図に示されるように 第１のフラップの接着剤カバー８７と第２のフラップの接着剤カバー８９が主ラ ッパーシート８０と一緒に組み立てられる前の形体をなして、第２の領域４１に 延びている。第１のフラップの接着剤カバー８７は好ましくは、第１の端部分８ ７Ｃ、第２の端部分８７Ｄ、および一対の長さ方向側部分８７Ｅを有する単一の 別個のシートを備えている。第１のフラップの接着剤カバー８７は、第１のフラ ップの接着剤７６を被覆し保護するのに十分な長さと幅を有しているが、第１の 領域３９の長さよりも短いのが好ましい。第２のフラップの接着剤カバー８９は 、剥離面）８９Ａと、対向した面８９Ｂとを有している。好ましくは、第４図に 示されるように、第１のフラップの接着剤カバー８７の非粘着面８７Ａ（第４図 では、対向面８７Ｂのみが示されている）と第２のフラップの接着剤カバー８９ の非粘着面８９Ａ（第４図では、対向面８９Ｂのみが示されている）は、第１の フラップの接着剤７６および第２のフラップの接着剤７７に剥離可能に付着され るように、第１のフラップの接着剤７６と第２のフラップの接着剤７７にそれぞ れ面している。フラップファスナ７６、７７が接着剤ファスナを含んでいるとき 、非粘着材料で処理された第１および第２のフラップの接着剤カバー８７、８９ に別個の剥離紙又は要素を取付けることによって、或いは、第１および第２のフ ラップの接着剤カバー８７、８９の一部をシリコン被覆する等して、第１および 第２のフラップの接着剤カバー８７、８９の全て又は一部を非粘着材料で処理す ることによって、非粘着面８７Ａ、８９Ａを提供することができる。或いは、第 １および第２のフラップの接着剤カバー８７、８９が、ベルクロ・ファスナのよ うな機械的ファスナを含んでいる場合には、機械的ファスニング面に剥離可能に 係合できる不織布材料によって、非粘着面を提供することができる。対向面８７ Ｂ、８９Ｂは、第１および第２のフラップの接着剤カバー８７、８９から遠去か る方に面している。対向面８７Ｂ、８９Ｂには、剥離コーティングを設ける必要 はなく、設けない方が好ましい。 第１図、第２図、第６図、および第７図に示されるように、第１のフラップの 接着剤カバー８７は、主ラッパーシート８０に接合されており、第２のフラップ の接着剤カバー８９は、第１のフラップの接着剤カバー８７に組み立て形体に接 合されている。より詳細には、第１のフラップの接着剤カバー８７は、組み立て られた形体において第２の領域４１に延びており、第１のフラップの接着剤カバ ー８７の非粘着面８７Ａは、第６図および第７図に示されるように、上側に面し ている。対向面８７Ｂは、第２のフラップの接着剤カバー８９および主ラッパー シート８０に面している。第１のフラップの接着剤カバー８７の第１の端部分８ ７Ｃは、第２のフラップの接着剤カバー８９の第２の端部分８９Ｄおよび主本体 部分２２の端縁部２８を超えて延びている。主ラッパーシート８０の第２の端部 分８０Ｂは、主本体部分２２の端縁部２８を超えて延びている。これにより、第 １の端部分８７Ｃは、主ラッパーシート８０に面しており、接着剤層８３によっ て、主ラッパーシート８０の第２の端部分８０Ｂの内面に接合されている。第１ ８７と第２のフラップの接着剤カバー８９は、第２図および第６図に示されるよ うに、第１のフラップの接着剤７７（即ち、第１の端縁部７７Ａ）と第１の横断 方向軸線Ｆ１との間で、衛生ナプキン２０の長さ方向の領域Ｒの少なくとも１箇 所で、互いに接合されている。より好ましくは、第２のフラップの接着剤カバー ８９の第１の端部分８９Ｃと第１のフラップの接着剤カバー８７の第２の端部分 ８７Ｄは、第１の横断方向軸線Ｆ１を超えて延びていない。第１のフラップの接 着剤カバー８７と第２のフラップの接着剤カバー８９は、第２のフラップの接着 剤７７と、第１の端部分８９Ｃ又は第２の端部分８９Ｄのいずれかとの間の領域 の１箇所で、互いに接合されている。第２図および第６図に示される好ましい実 施例では、第１の端部分８７Ｄが第１の端部分８９Ｃよりも第２のフラップの接 着剤７７に隣接しているので、第１のフラップの接着剤カバー８７と第２のフ ラップの接着剤カバー８９は、第２のフラップの接着剤７７と第２の端部分８７ Ｄとの間の領域Ｒ１において接合されている。第１の端部分８９Ｃが第２のフラ ップの接着剤７７により隣接している場合には、カバー８７、８９は、第２のフ ラップの接着剤７７と第１の端部分８９Ｃとの間の領域において接合されている 。接着剤層９０の位置が第２のフラップの接着剤７７に隣接しているので、第１ のフラップの接着剤カバー８７と第２のフラップの接着剤カバー８９の長さは、 それぞれ第２の端部分８７Ｄと第１の端部分８９Ｃのところで短くともよい。こ れは、第１および第２のフラップの接着剤カバー８７、８９の材料を節約する。 接着剤層９０は、第８図に示されるように接着剤層９０の一部が第２のフラップ の接着剤７７の少なくとも一部と重なるように、第２のフラップの接着剤カバー ８９の第２の端部分８９Ｄの方へ延びていてもよい。或いは、接着剤層９０は、 第９図に示されるように接着剤層９０の一部が第２のフラップの接着剤７７の全 体に重なるように、第２の端部分８９Ｄの方へ更に延びていてもよい。いずれの 場合においても、第１および第２のフラップの接着剤カバー８７、８９は、領域 Ｒの少なくとも１箇所で接合されている。 フラップの接着剤カバー８７、８９は、第１のフラップの接着剤７６と第２の フラップの接着剤７７を被覆し保護するのに十分な長さと幅を有するフラップ接 着剤カバー８７、８９が図示されているが、適当な寸法と形状を有するものでも よい。 ラッパー７８は好ましくは、ラッパーおよび衛生ナプキンを折り畳み形体に折 り畳むことによって形成されたパッケージを保持するための任意的なパッケージ ファスナ８６を備えている。パッケージファスナ８６は好ましくは、パッケージ に取り外し可能に取付けられ、かつ、再密封できる。パッケージファスナ８６は 、接着剤のスポット又はパッチ、テープ、機械的ファスナのような、公知の取り 外し可能に取付けられ、再密封できるものであるのがよい。感圧接着剤が塗布さ れ たテープタブが、良好に機能することが分かっている。パッケージファスナ８６ は、ラッパー７８の任意の適当な位置に配置することができる。第１図および第 ２図に示される実施例では、パッケージファスナ８６は好ましくは、主ラッパー シート８０の第１の端部分８０Ａのところに位置決めされている。 衛生ナプキン２０をラッパー７８に最初に包装する際、主本体部分２２の下着 面２０Ｂは、主ラッパーシート８０の頂部に置かれる。衛生ナプキン２０は、中 央パッドファスナ７４が主ラッパーシート８０の剥離紙又は剥離コーティング８ ２上に位置するように、位置決めされる。次いで、第１および第２のフラップ２ ４、２５が第２図および第３図に示される形体になるように、第１および第２の フラップ２４、２５は好ましくは、トップシート３８上に折り畳まれる。フラッ プ２４、２５を第２図および第３図に示される形体に折り畳むと、フラップ２４ 、２５の下着側に配置された接着剤のパッチ７６、７７が露出し、フラップ２４ 、２５が、トップシート３８の少なくとも一部を被覆する。かくして、フラップ ２４、２５をトップシート３８上で折り畳むと、トップシート３８が使用前に汚 れないようにする或る程度の保護が提供される。第１のフラップ２４の一方又は 両方が大きなスパン（即ち、横断方向で測定した寸法）を有している変形実施例 では、第５図に示されるように第１のフラップ２４の一方が他方のフラップ２４ の上に少なくとも部分的に位置するように、トップシート３８上に折り畳まれる 。第１のフラップ２４Ｂは、第１のフラップ２４Ａのフラップ取付け手段７６の 上に位置し、取付けられ、保護する。フラップの接着剤カバー８４は、第１のフ ラップ２４Ｂのフラップファスナ７６の上に位置し、取付けられ、保護する。第 ２のフラップ２５は、大きなスパンを有する第１のフラップ２４と同じ構造を有 するものでよい。 フラップ２４、２５をトップシート３８上で折り畳んだ後、衛生ナプキン２０ と主ラッパーシート８０は好ましくは、第２図に示される折り軸線Ｆ１、Ｆ２に よって構成される３つの領域に折り畳まれる。折り軸線Ｆ１、Ｆ２は、衛生ナプ キン２０と主ラッパーシート８０を、第１の領域３９、第２の領域４１、および 第３の領域４３を有する３つの領域に分割する。第２図に示されるように、中央 領域（第１の領域）３９は、折り軸線Ｆ１、Ｆ２間に位置する。第２および第３ の領域４１、４３は、折り軸線Ｆ１、Ｆ２の長さ方向の外側に位置する。上述の ように、主本体部分２２も、折り軸線Ｆ１、Ｆ２のところで、第１の部分３６、 第２の部分３４、および第３の部分３２を有する３つの領域に分離される。各部 分３６、３４、３２は全体として、各領域３９、４１、４３にそれぞれ延びてい る。 第１０図は、輸送、販売および装着者が所持し易いような或る好ましい形体に ラッパー７８と衛生ナプキン２０を折り畳むことによって形成された衛生ナプキ ン２０用のパッケージを示している。第２のフラップ２５が上述のようにトップ シート３８上に折り畳まれると、第２のフラップの接着剤カバー８９の非粘着面 ８９Ａは、第２のフラップの接着剤７７の上に置かれ、第２図に示されるように 、各接着剤パッチ７７に取り外し可能に取付けられる。さらに、第２のフラップ の接着剤カバー８９は、フラップ２５に跨がる各フラップ２５間の連結を提供し 、これによりフラップ接着剤カバー８９を取り除くまで、第２のフラップ２５を
