Description of the Related Art An engine and a motor generator that are operated by combustion of fuel, and are arranged between at least the engine and the driving wheels of the engine and the motor generator to change a gear ratio in accordance with predetermined gear shifting conditions. The automatic transmission and the motor generator are rotationally driven by the kinetic energy of the vehicle,
There is known a braking force control device for a hybrid vehicle having regenerative braking means for applying a predetermined regenerative braking force or a regenerative braking torque according to the generated power to the vehicle. In such a hybrid vehicle, the motor generator is rotationally driven by the kinetic energy of the vehicle during deceleration or braking travel by the regenerative braking means, and a predetermined regenerative braking force corresponding to the power generated by the motor generator is applied to the vehicle. The braking force of the vehicle can be smoothly changed by controlling the regenerative braking force, that is, the regenerative braking torque.

On the other hand, it has been proposed to reduce the speed of the automatic transmission to increase the braking force and replace the braking force with the regenerative braking force. For example, the apparatus described in Japanese Patent Application Laid-Open No. 10-73161 is that.

However, since the engine brake torque that is changed to is used, there is an inconvenience that an uncomfortable feeling is generated at the time of braking. Further, the downshift by the automatic transmission requires time until the engine brake torque increases after the shift, and there is also a problem that the braking force is temporarily insufficient and a sense of incongruity occurs. The same shift response delay can be applied not only to a vehicle using a stepped transmission as an automatic transmission but also to a vehicle using a continuously variable transmission (CVT).

First, a braking torque by a wheel brake with good response is temporarily generated,
Since the braking torque is generated by the downshift of the automatic transmission, a braking torque having the same magnitude as the regenerative braking torque is generated instead, and the braking torque is reduced as the vehicle speed or the engine speed decreases. Therefore, even if regenerative braking becomes impossible, a braking force without a sense of incongruity can be obtained with good responsiveness. In addition, the durability is improved as compared with the case where the braking torque instead of the regenerative braking torque is generated only by the wheel brake.

Prior to this, the engine speed is increased to the rotational speed after the downshift, and downshift means for downshifting the automatic transmission by a constant speed downshift in which a gear stage after the shift is established in that state is included. With this configuration, the engagement device that achieves the gear position after the downshift is smoothly engaged in a state where there is almost no rotation difference, so that the engine rotation speed can be forcibly increased during the downshift of the automatic transmission. The resulting shift shock is suitably mitigated.

In order to prevent a step change in the braking torque due to the downshift of the automatic transmission after the generation of the braking torque, an additional torque output means for executing the downshift and simultaneously outputting the additional torque from the motor generator is included. With this configuration, the stepwise change in the braking torque due to the downshift executed when the regenerative braking impossible determination unit determines that the regenerative braking has been disabled is suitably eliminated, and the sense of discomfort is further alleviated. After the braking torque by the wheel brake is temporarily generated, a time lapse determining means for determining whether or not a predetermined time has elapsed after a predetermined time, that is, whether or not a predetermined delay time has elapsed, is included in the time lapse determining means. The downshift is performed after it is determined that the set delay time has elapsed. This delay time is obtained experimentally in advance so that the braking torque due to downshifting is validated after the wheel brake with good responsiveness is validated and sudden changes in the braking torque of the vehicle are reduced. It is. Thereby, when the regenerative braking becomes impossible, a sudden change in the braking torque of the vehicle is further alleviated.

There is provided a high-speed gear use restriction means for prohibiting a high-speed gear position of the automatic transmission during traveling, for example, a fifth speed gear position, and shifting the speed in a range from the first to fourth speed gear positions. In this way, it is possible to prevent the braking torque of the vehicle, for which regenerative braking is already disabled, that is, the driving force source brake torque from changing in the same traveling.

It is, for example, select one of a plurality of preset operating modes, the selected mode operation of the engine 12, the operation of the storage device 58, and controls each operation of the lock-up clutch C L. For example, in the regenerative control in the regenerative braking mode selected during deceleration (coasting) traveling or braking traveling, the lock-up clutch CL is engaged and the motor generator 14 is charged. As a result, the motor generator 14 is rotationally driven by the kinetic energy of the vehicle, the power storage device 58 is charged by the generated electric power, and regenerative braking torque such as engine braking is applied to the vehicle. And the driving operation becomes easier. At this time, as the vehicle speed V becomes lower, the power generated by the motor generator 14 becomes smaller and the regenerative braking torque corresponding thereto is applied to the vehicle from the relationship set according to the gear position of the automatic transmission 18 to apply the braking torque to the vehicle. Is changed smoothly. For example, at the time of deceleration running, as shown in FIG. 9, a value obtained by subtracting the engine braking torque by the gear at that time from the target braking torque required to obtain the deceleration manually set by the deceleration setting switch 60 is used. The regenerative braking torque is calculated, and the power generated by the motor generator 14 is adjusted so as to obtain the regenerative braking torque.
In the present embodiment, the hybrid control controller 5

Wheel brakes provided on each wheel (wheel brakes)
A hydraulic pressure adjusting device 68 for distributing the hydraulic pressure to the hydraulic pressure adjusting device 66 and a brake controller 70 for controlling the brake hydraulic pressure source 64 and the hydraulic pressure adjusting device 68 are provided. The brake controller 70 also includes a CPU, a RAM, a ROM, an I / O
It is composed of a microcomputer having an interface and the like, and receives a signal from a wheel rotation sensor 72 for detecting rotation of each wheel. The brake controller 70 calculates the vehicle speed and each wheel speed based on each input signal from the wheel rotation sensor 72, calculates the wheel slip rate based on the vehicle speed and each wheel speed, and calculates the wheel friction. Control (so-called ABS control) to prevent wheel lock and vehicle body spin during low-μ road travel by adjusting the brake hydraulic pressure for each wheel so that the slip ratio falls within the range where the coefficient is within the maximum range. And control for adjusting the brake oil pressure for each wheel in order to prevent oversteer or understeer during turning (so-called V
SC control). Further, the brake controller 70 is connected to the hybrid control controller 50 via a communication line, and operates the wheel brake 66 in accordance with a command from the hybrid control controller 50 during regenerative braking. In order to obtain the braking torque of the vehicle, a braking torque to be added to the regenerative braking torque is generated.

In FIG. 7, the regenerative braking determination means 74 determines whether the hybrid control controller 50 controls regenerative braking control (regenerative braking mode) for charging the power storage device 58 using the motor generator 14 as a generator during deceleration traveling. Determine whether or not. The regenerative braking impossible determining means 76 determines that the regenerative braking mode is selected but regenerative braking is disabled, for example, the state of charge SOC of the power storage device 58 is 8
It is determined whether or not the state is such as exceeding a full charge value set in advance to about 0%, that is, exceeding the maximum charge amount A. The vehicle stop determination means 78 determines whether the vehicle is stopped based on, for example, the vehicle speed V.

Is to prohibit the high speed gear of the automatic transmission 18 during the next traveling, for example, the fifth gear, and to shift the gear within the range from the first gear to the fourth gear. This is to prevent the braking torque of the vehicle, that is, the driving force source brake torque, from being changed during the same running because regenerative braking is already disabled. In order to keep the driving force source brake torque constant, an additional torque may be output from the motor generator 14, or the engine output torque may be adjusted by adjusting the opening of the throttle valve.
It may be changed by adjusting the valve timing of the engine.

At A9, a constant speed downshift is performed. For example, the automatic transmission 18 is switched from the fifth gear to the fourth gear, and at the same time, the braking torque of the vehicle is changed to the target braking torque during the coasting. In order to keep the fourth
Motor generator 14 outputs an additional torque having a magnitude substantially corresponding to the difference between the engine braking torque in the high gear and the target braking torque. As a result, the vehicle braking torque is reduced by the additional torque from the engine brake torque of the fourth gear stage generated by the downshift. At the same time, in SA10, the wheel brake 6

The braking torque is referred to as regenerative braking torque, and the braking torque of the entire vehicle including both is referred to as vehicle braking torque or power source braking torque.

In this case, instead of the regenerative braking torque by the motor generator 14, first, a braking torque by the wheel brake 66 having good response is temporarily generated, and a braking torque by the downshift of the automatic transmission 18 is generated. Therefore, a braking torque having the same magnitude as the regenerative braking torque is generated instead, and the braking torque is reduced with a decrease in the vehicle speed or the engine rotation speed. No braking force is obtained with good responsiveness. In addition, the durability is improved as compared with the case where the braking torque instead of the regenerative braking torque is generated only by the wheel brake.

Since it includes the downshift means 88 (SA9) for downshifting the automatic transmission 18 by the speed downshift, an engagement device that achieves the gear after the downshift with little rotation difference, for example, 4 → 3 downshift in so brake B 1 is brought smoothly engaged, shift shock caused at the time of down shift of the automatic transmission 18 is forcibly raising the engine rotational speed N E is appropriately mitigated.

Since it includes the additional torque output means 90 (SA9) for outputting the additional torque from the motor generator 14 at the same time as executing the downshift, it is determined by the regenerative braking impossible determination means 76 that the regenerative braking has been disabled. In this case, the stepwise change in the braking force due to the downshift executed is suitably eliminated, and the sense of discomfort is further alleviated.

The time shift determining means 86 (SA8) for determining whether or not the gear is down shifts after the time elapsed determining means 86 determines that the time has elapsed by a preset delay time. It is determined experimentally in advance so that a braking torque due to downshifting is effectively generated after a wheel brake having good responsiveness is enabled, and a sudden change in the braking torque of the vehicle is reduced. Therefore, when the regenerative braking becomes impossible, a sudden change in the braking torque of the vehicle is further alleviated.

Prohibits the high speed gear position of the automatic transmission 18 during the next running, for example, the fifth speed gear position,
Since the high-speed gear use restriction means 92 (SA12) for changing the speed in the range from the first gear to the fourth gear is provided, the braking torque, i.e., drive, of the vehicle that is already incapable of regenerative braking is provided. The power source braking torque is prevented from changing in the same running.
