動部材に横方向にスライド自在に保持され前記ラックに
係合し得る上下対をなす係合ピンと、前記摺動部材の下
端部に中央部が揺動自在に枢支され前記上下の係合ピン
をホールドするピンガイドとを備え、前記係合ピンの上
下間隔は一方の係合ピンがラックの谷部に嵌合するとき
他方の係合ピンが山部に当接するピッチとされ、前記操
作部材を押圧したとき前記係合ピンをラックの谷部から
押し出して摺動部材のロックを解き、摺動部材を任意高
さ位置として操作部材の押圧を放すことによりピンガイ
ドにより係合ピンが押し戻されていずれかの係合ピンが
その直近の谷部に係合してロックされるようにしたこと
を特徴とする椅子の肘掛け高さ調節装置。
