Abstract

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce contact pressure, prevent deterioration due to frictional heat, reduce size and enhance durability by forming a thrust bearing plate out of polyimide which is high in thermal deformation temperature. SOLUTION: A thrust bearing plate 12 is formed out of polyimide(PI) and in contact with a rotary shaft 7. The brush portion 2 of a brush arm 1 is in contact with a commutator 6. In the small-sized motor thus constituted, the polyimide(PI) constituting the thrust bearing plate 12 is elastically and plastically deformed by thrust loading on the rotary shaft 7 when the motor is in operation. Consequently, the thrust bearing plate 12 is provided with an appropriate area of contact with the rotary shaft 7 and the contact pressure between it and the rotary shaft 7 can be reduced. Further, since polyimide(PI) is high in thermal deformation temperature, deterioration in the thrust bearing plate 12 due to frictional heat is prevented.

う問題点を有していた。
