Descrizione del Brevetto d'Invenzione Industriale avente per titolo: Description of the Industrial Invention Patent entitled:
"SCAMBIATORE TERMICO COMPAllO AD ALTA SUPERFICIE DI SCAMBIO TERMICO "COMPAll THERMAL EXCHANGER WITH HIGH SURFACE OF THERMAL EXCHANGE
The present invention relates to a heat exchanger of the compact type with a high cladding surface made entirely of light aluminum alloy, the main body of which discharging the heat is constituted by thin plates superimposed, stacked and interspersed with each other in layers, thus forming distinct and obligatory paths both for the liquid to be cooled and for the fluid used as evaporator.
The heat exchanger, in synthetic form, includes two hydraulic circuits: in the first one flows the water or other liquid substance to be cooled, while in the second the refrigerant fluid is sprayed in the liquid state (at the same time also used by the passage in the opposite direction of the same refrigerant in the gaseous state).
The invention is particularly suitable and advantageous in the water cooling sector, precisely because of its reduced overall dimensions with the same thermal shoe surface. Said device has excellent technical and efficiency performance if it uses the water to be heated> having an inlet temperature of about 12 ° C and an outlet temperature of about 6 ° C. For this lowering of temperature, a refrigerant substance is used, such as Freon or equivalent, <used at suitable operating pressures and temperatures: the latter is sprayed liquid from the top> downwards over the two overlapping layers circuits and the surfaces of the relevant circuit will become wet by gravity. As it heats up along its path, it will tend to evaporate, going through the same circuit in the opposite direction to then be aspirated and reused after a mirror heat treatment.
The invention is also eco-compatible, as it is made entirely of light aluminum alloy, making it completely and quickly recyclable.
Lo stato della tecnica The state of the art
In the current state of the art, different types of heat exchangers or evaporators are known used for cooling water or liquids in general.
Large-sized water cooling devices are known, consisting of large cylindrical containers inside which a plurality of copper or steel pipes crossed by the water to be cooled are distributed, on whose external surfaces the coolant liquid is sprinkled, such as for example the Freori or equivalent. The refrigerant, coming into contact with the hot pipes of the water to be cooled, tends to evaporate and reach the highest area of the container where it is sucked and heat treated to be reused for the next cycle. The direct recovery of the refrigerant in the liquid state, not evaporated, deposited at the base of the container, with a suitable recovery circuit is also envisaged and then cyclically sent back to the sprayers.
These coolers are very bulky and occupying a lot of space, they are not very suitable for use in confined spaces. Furthermore, the efficiency of the heat exchange is very low precisely due to the use of a circuit for the passage of water of the traditional type, such as for example copper pipes with a circular section. Another disadvantage is the fact that the entire exchanger is made with the use of several materials, steel for the container, copper for the pipes, other various materials such as> accessories and welds, so in the case of destruction of the product the recovery phase of materials is quite long, laborious and therefore expensive.
<Furthermore, the construction processes for heat exchangers patented by the company> owner of the present invention are known (Italian applications n. terrriico, unripiegaiido plates and obligatory paths entirely built in light aluminum alloy. From all these improvements we start to overcome the known and previously listed disadvantages.
Scopo dell'invenzione Purpose of the invention
It was therefore decided to overcome the disadvantages re-identified in the manufacture and use of cooling devices for water or liquids in general, by creating a new compact heat exchanger with a high cladding surface having the following characteristics:
- dispositivo scarribiatore consistente in un contenitore stagno collegato con l'esterno in almeno quattro punti: un primo punto per l'immissione del liquido da ramreddare negli appositi circuiti di scambio termico; un secondo punto di uscita dello stesso liquido raffreddato; un terzo punto di immissione del fliiido refrigerante (ad esempio il Freon) allo stato liquido per i radiatori superiore e inferiore e per la irrorazione a pioggia dei circuiti a pacco di scambio termico; infine, un punto di prelievo superiore del fluido di raffreddamento allo stato gassoso; - Scarriber device consisting of a watertight container connected to the outside in at least four points: a first point for the introduction of the liquid to be cooled in the appropriate heat exchange circuits; a second outlet point for the same cooled liquid; a third entry point for the coolant (for example Freon) in the liquid state for the upper and lower radiators and for sprinkling the heat exchange pack circuits; finally, an upper point of withdrawal of the cooling fluid in the gaseous state;
- lo scambiatore termico, essendo compatto, presenta i circuiti di scambio formati a pacco costituito da una pluralità di strati di piastre di lega di alluminio alternati ed impilati, saldati tra loro mediante sistema di fusione superficiale e saldatura per contatto a pressione delle superfici adiacenti dei singoli strati (ciascuno dei quali formante un circuito per il passaggio o del liquido da raffreddare o del refrigerante allo stato liquido e10 gassoso, indipendenti tra loro<e separati solo da una piastra cladante);>- the heat exchanger, being compact, has the exchange circuits formed in a pack consisting of a plurality of layers of alternating and stacked aluminum alloy plates, welded together by means of a surface fusion system and pressure contact welding of the adjacent surfaces of the individual layers (each of which forming a circuit for the passage of either the liquid to be cooled or the refrigerant in the liquid and gaseous state, independent of each other <and separated only by a cladding plate);>
- le superfici di scambio termico sono di ampio sviluppo a parità del volume dell'intero scambiatore rispetto ai dispositivi e circuiti tubolari conosciuti, in quanto per entrambi i circuiti esistono una superficie primaria (piastra cladante) ed una secondaria (lamine turbolatrici); - lo scambiatore prevede due circuiti, il primario per il passaggio dell'acqua o altro liquido da<raffreddare ed il secondario per il doppio passaggio della sostanza raffreddante allo stato di>liquido per caduta a gravita (a pioggia), ed allo stato gassoso nel senso inverso; - the heat exchange surfaces are broadly developed with the same volume of the entire exchanger with respect to known tubular devices and circuits, since for both circuits there is a primary surface (cladding plate) and a secondary surface (turbulator plates); - the exchanger has two circuits, the primary for the passage of water or other liquid to be cooled and the secondary for the double passage of the cooling substance in the liquid state by gravity (rain) and in the gaseous state in the reverse sense;
- per aumentare il rendimento, tale pacco di circuiti impilati a strati sono disposti in verticale in modo tale che il liquido refrigerante bagni per gravità l'intera superficie cladante dei pertinenti strati, andando eventualmente a gocciolare nella zona inferiore di raccolta e di ricircolo, ove un ulteriore radiatore riscalderà il liquido raccolto per farlo evaporare, facendolo risalire verso l'alto attraverso gli specifici strati circuitali, per esempio, a sezione a forma di "zeta" coriti~iua; - to increase efficiency, this pack of circuits stacked in layers are arranged vertically in such a way that the coolant bathes the entire cladding surface of the relevant layers by gravity, eventually dripping into the lower collection and recirculation area, where a further radiator will heat the collected liquid to evaporate it, causing it to rise upwards through the specific circuit layers, for example, in the shape of a "zeta" coritiua;
- sempre per aumentare il rendimento dello scambiatore, è consigliabile inclinare leggermente il pacco dei circuiti di scambio rispetto alla verticale, al fine di permettere il contemporaneo passaggio nel medesimo strato, nei due sensi, del fluido liquido di raffreddamento verso il basso ed il fluido gassoso di evaporazione verso l'alto; - again to increase the efficiency of the exchanger, it is advisable to slightly incline the pack of exchange circuits with respect to the vertical, in order to allow the simultaneous passage in the same layer, in both directions, of the cooling liquid fluid downwards and the gaseous fluid upward evaporation;
- evitare di avere un circuito tradizionale di raccolta del fluido refrigerante alla stato liquido raccolto alla base del dispositivo, impiegando - in sostituzione - un idoneo radiatore riscaldatore alimentato direttamente dall'acqua calda del circuito del liquido da raffreddare, avente lo scopo di farlo evaporare e salire verso l'alto, per poi estrarlo definitivamente dal contenitore per il trattamento successivo, rimettendolo in circolo allo stato liquido; - avoid having a traditional collection circuit for the liquid refrigerant collected at the base of the device, using - instead of - a suitable radiator heater fed directly by the hot water of the liquid circuit to be cooled, with the purpose of making it evaporate and rise upwards, and then remove it definitively from the container for subsequent treatment, putting it back into circulation in the liquid state;
- impiegare sulla parte superiore del dispositivo, al di sopra del pacco dei circuiti di scambio termico, un radiatore scaldante alimentato dal fluido refrigerante liquido in entrata avente la funzione di elevare ulteriormente la temperatura del fluido refrigerante esistente allo stato gassoso presente nella zona circonvicina al radiatore stesso, al fine di depurarlo ulteriormente dalla presenza di eventuali particelle allo stato liquido prima della sua estrazione definitiva dal contenitore stesso, per poi essere trattato esternamente con idonei mezzi; - use on the upper part of the device, above the pack of heat exchange circuits, a heating radiator fed by the incoming liquid refrigerant fluid with the function of further raising the temperature of the refrigerant fluid existing in the gaseous state present in the area around the radiator itself, in order to further purify it from the presence of any particles in the liquid state before its final extraction from the container itself, to then be treated externally with suitable means;
- to use, above the compact pack of the heat exchange circuits, a high-pressure spraying system for the refrigerant fluid in the liquid state, so as to wet the entire pack in an optimal way; - create a heat exchanger entirely built in eco-friendly aluminum alloy, favoring its recovery without having to select different materials.
Essenza dell'invenzione Essence of the invention
The objectives of the invention are achieved according to the characteristics of the main claim and 10 of any other claim reported in this patent text, realizing a heat exchanger or a refrigerating fluid evaporator intended for the cooling of water or liquids, inserted in a hermetic container made entirely of alloy made of aluminum and connected to the outside in well-defined points for its operation: an entry point for the liquid to be cooled; an exit point of the same liquid at a lower temperature than the entry point; a point of entry of the refrigerant fluid under pressure (for example Freon) in the liquid state; a point of withdrawal of the liquid refrigerant in the gaseous state.
The compact heat exchanger with a high cladding surface, hermetic type and entirely built in light aluminum alloy, with a low and elongated shape, has inside: below, a radiator in the collection area of the coolant in the liquid state. directly from the hot water or liquid circuit to be cooled with the purpose of making it evaporate; in the median zone, the compact heat exchange pack consisting of a plurality of alternating circuit layers with a large cladding surface, flat, parallel and side by side; above the heat exchanger pack, a multiple spraying device that sprays the refrigerant liquid under pressure, coming from the outside of the container, thus wetting the pack like rain, making the liquid percolate along the vertical layers, open both above and below ; finally, on the upper part and before the exit point of the gaseous refrigerant fluid, a heating radiator fed by the refrigerant fluid under pressure coming from the outside in the liquid state, with the purpose of further heating the refrigerant fluid in the gaseous state that laps the radiator itself, before its withdrawal, thus transforming the last and eventual particles of liquid still present and conveyed by the aeriform.
A first series of circuits crossed by the liquid or hot water to be cooled (for example horizontally) and a second series of circuits (alternating with the first), crossed (for example vertically) by the coolant liquid, are provided in the scarriber pack. The latter in the liquid state will be sprinkled on the second series of circuits traveling downhill, while its component in the gaseous state will travel through the same circuit in the opposite direction.
The outgoing gas, withdrawn by suction, is treated externally to the exchanger and fed back into the circuit in the liquid state at high temperature (plus or minus 43 ° C) at a pressure of about 3 bar. It feeds the radiator located above the heat exchange pack and the sprinkler device which rains the heat exchange pack.
To improve the efficiency of the heat exchanger, it is advisable to tilt it slightly with respect to the vertical, in any direction (transverse and 10 longitudinal), in such a way as to favor the wetting of the cladding surfaces and the flow of the liquid, allowing the simultaneous rise of the vapors of the unrefined fluid for heat exchange.
The construction system follows the technical direction acquired by the two invention patents mentioned above, in particular for the construction of the various circuit layers stacked in aluminum alloy and subjected to compression, joined together by brazing and pressure gluing in suitable furnaces. , thus forming a single compact block equipped with a multiplicity of circuits for the passage of the fluid that releases heat, alternating with the circuits crossed by the fluid that absorbs heat.
In accordance with the aforementioned purposes, the heat exchanger or water cooler (for example from about 12 ° C to 6 "C) is made up of a plurality of stacked layers, each of which is part of a circuit for the passage of the liquid or gaseous heat exchange (frigogenic) and water or other liquids to be cooled. The different layers and circuits are superimposed and arranged alternately, in order to increase the total heat exchange surfaces and placed in a vertical position and 10 inclined in in order to favor the sliding of the cooling liquid by gravity. The different circuits in turn can be realized in various ways and geometric shapes of paths, for example> counter-current, double type, etc ..., presenting (or not) some turbulator cores, with the aim of obtaining the maximum yield and resistance of the device. As already mentioned above, the circuit of the water to be cooled A composed of several alternating circuits with longitudinal development , while the layers adjacent to them form the circuits for the passage of the refrigerant fluid and are arranged vertically or almost vertically.
Another variant of the present invention is obtained by equipping the thermal exchanger with a recovery circuit for the cooling fluid, collected in the liquid state at the base of the container, alternatively or not, to use the base radiator with the function of evaporator of the liquid of dripping coming from the exchanger pack.
The objects of the invention are therefore limited and the advantages are evident and multiple. The package constituting the various circuits is made entirely of high-performance aluminum, without copper pipes for heat exchange. Its compactness greatly reduces the overall dimensions with the same technical performance. In addition, the product fully complies with current regulations relating to respect for the environment and the recycling of materials at the end of its use. Being made entirely of light aluminum alloy, it does not require separation of the component materials, thereby facilitating and reducing the time and costs of its recovery.

As can be seen from the attached figures, the heat exchanger with water cooling function is known (prior art) as an airtight container (1) of the cylindrical type resting horizontally on the lateral surface. It is composed of a plurality of copper pipes (2) placed longitudinally and parallel to the lateral surface, located in the lower part of the container, while in the upper part there is a pipe (3) equipped with a plurality of sprayers (4) which spray by gravity the underlying pipes (2) with refrigerant liquid. The inlet of the water to be cooled (5) occurs through one base of the cylinder, while the outlet (7) takes place through the opposite base. There is a recovery circuit for the refrigerant liquid (6) 'collected in the lower part of the container and put back into circulation (8) in the pipe (3), while the aeriform part of the same is taken through the upper opening (9), treated separately and put back into circulation in the liquid state.
This construction technique is overcome by the present invention by greatly reducing the overall dimensions and realizing a device entirely made of light aluminum alloy, while also being eco-compatible.
The compact heat exchanger designed for water cooling (for example from about 12 "to about 6 ° C) has the main part made up of a compact prismatic pack in which two alternating multi-layer circuits with overlapping plates and positioned in the direction are provided. This heat exchanger body is composed in layers, starting from a cladding plate (10), of a lateral layer delimiter (11) for the circuit (12) for the water to be cooled, whose path is equipped with turbulator plates (12.1) and is subsequently closed by another cladding surface (10). Below is a side delimiter (14) of the circuit (13) for the passage of the refrigerating gaseous liquid e10 also equipped with another vertical sectional plate continues to "zig zag" (15) 'suitable for the <simultaneous passage in the vertical direction, of the liquid downwards and of the vapor upwards.>
This latter layer is also closed by a cladding surface (10). Subsequently, the circuit paths are repeated alternately until the exchanger (25) is constituted which corresponds to the physical and technical characteristics required for the purpose.
Ultimately, the body of the exchanger (25) has two circuits: one (12) for the water to be cooled and one (13) for the free fall liquid by gravity and 10 for the rising refrigerant.
The invention provides for the construction of a hermetic container (16) of the modular type in multiple elements that can be assembled together, of elongated shape and resting on stabilizing feet (23): it has two flat closing heads (17) (18) with respective spacers (17.1) and (18.1). The first is simply closing, the second is equipped with inlet (19) and outlet (20) connections for the water circuit to be cooled, plus an inlet connection (21) for the refrigerant supplying the water circuit. difference (28) and from the connection for the circuit for the evaporation of any liquid refrigerant present on the bottom of the hermetic container: water inlet and water outlet of the device (31). This does not preclude the possibility of making a different hermetic container that can be used for the same purpose.
Inside the container (16) the pack of the exchanger body (25) acts as a union connection between the two heads (17) and (18), and at the same time also as a lateral external surface, on both sides, of the container itself. , thus leaving two free spaces, Sinperior Linen and Lower Linen. Both <these areas are hermetically sealed by two respective shields, one upper (24) and one lower> (26). The upper shield has an opening towards the outside (22) in the upper central part, in order to capture the evaporating air from the refrigerating medium used to remove heat from the water or liquid to be cooled.
In the upper part of the exchanger (25) B there is a circuit (28) of the refrigerant liquid (for example Freon) at high temperature (for example at about 40 ° C) and at high pressure, which simultaneously feeds an upper radiator (27 ) and the legs (29) of the sprayers (30) which sprinkle the underlying pack of the superimposed plate heat exchanger (25).
In the lower part with respect to the exchanger pack (25) there is an additional radiator (31) 'fed by the same circuit of the hot water to be cooled which is contained in the lower shield (26) for collecting any dripping liquid coming from the exchanger itself. This radiator (31) has the purpose of evaporating the refrigerant liquid collected at the base and present in the vicinity, transforming it into aeriform: it, being lighter, tends to move upwards, always through the same circuit layers where the liquid falls. refrigerant, towards the suction outlet (22).
Above the spraying device (29) with the spray nozzles (30) there is a radiator (27) 'fed with inlet refrigerant at high temperature and pressure: it has the purpose of further heating the air present in the nearby and transforming even the last liquid particles present into gas, before being sucked out through the opening (22) on the upper shield (24). This refrigerant gas will be treated with suitable external means (not the subject of the present invention) and transformed back into a liquid with parameters suitable for operation with the heat exchanger or with the cooler of water or liquids in general.
As shown in the figures, the exchanger (16) or horizontal hermetic container operates as follows: first of all, it receives the refrigerant liquid (at about 40 ° C and at high pressure) through the connection (21) and with the pipe (28) it simultaneously supplies the upper radiator (27) and the <pipes (29) for distributing the liquid through sprayers (30) which sprinkle the compact pack of the exchanger (25) at the top> rain. of its own circuits (13) and in its vertical path it partly transforms into gaseous> - <going upwards where there is the outlet (22) - and partly collects in the lower part of the> container in the liquid state , more precisely collected by the lower shield (26) in the vicinity of the radiator (31). Here the collected liquid is vaporized thanks to the heat supplied by the lower radiator> (31), fed directly by the water circuit to be cooled. The aeriform goes backwards through the circuits in alternating layers, reaching the top of the exchanger near the upper radius (27) where it receives further heating before exiting the container itself.
On the other hand, the hot water to be cooled, having for example a temperature of about 14 "C1 or any other liquid to be cooled, is introduced into the body of the compact pack alternating layer circuit heat exchanger (25) through the external connection (19 ) and discharged through the outlet (20) at a temperature of about 6 ° C after passing through the heat exchanger using Freon or equivalent as refrigerant liquid.
The invention, of course, is not limited to the exemplary embodiment described above, starting from which other embodiments and other embodiments can be provided, and the details of execution can however vary without thereby departing from the essence of the invention as stated and d claimed below.
The pressures and temperatures mentioned above must be considered by way of example as they are strictly linked to the actual working conditions of the evaporator.
