Description
DESCRIZIONE dell’invenzione industriale dal titolo: †Occhiale†DESCRIPTION of the industrial invention entitled: ⠀ Glasses⠀
DESCRIZIONE DESCRIPTION
The present invention refers to a pair of glasses.
Traditionally, in a pair of glasses the temples are hinged to the front by two respective hinges. Typically an eyeglass hinge comprises two parts, fixed respectively to one end of the front and to the rod, articulated to each other by means of a screw forming a pin that allows the rod to rotate by folding on the front. This configuration has disadvantages due to the fact that the screw tends to loosen when it is subjected to repeated and frequent rotational movements to open and close the temple, to store the glasses and to wear them. It is therefore necessary to use a tiny screwdriver to tighten the screw. If the user does not have the appropriate tool, he may resort to the use of a blade or other pointed object, which inevitably damages the groove in the screw head. The screw thus loses its ability to bind the rod to the front. It is common for the vine to get lost.
Glasses are also known having hinges provided with cams and / or stops (called â € œstop hingeâ €) which stop the rotation of the temples in the closed position.
It is an object of the present invention to produce eyewear consisting of a small number of components, simple and economical to manufacture and to assemble. In particular, it is desired to produce eyeglasses without the traditional screws, which does not require adjustment and which, preferably, has stable opening and closing positions.
These and other objects and advantages, which will be better understood hereinafter, are achieved, according to the present invention, by eyeglasses having the characteristics defined in the appended claims.
Verranno ora descritte, a titolo d’esempio non limitativo, alcune forme di realizzazione preferenziali dell’invenzione; si fa riferimento ai disegni allegati, in cui: Some preferential embodiments of the invention will now be described, by way of non-limiting example; reference is made to the attached drawings, in which:
la figura 1 à ̈ una vista prospettica di parte di un occhiale con un’asta disposta in una prima posizione aperta; figure 1 is a perspective view of part of a pair of glasses with a temple arranged in a first open position;
la figura 2 à ̈ una vista prospettica di parte di un occhiale con un’asta disposta in una seconda posizione ripiegata; figure 2 is a perspective view of part of a pair of glasses with a temple arranged in a second folded position;
la figura 3 à ̈ una vista prospettica ingrandita di un dettaglio dell’occhiale delle figure 1 e 2; la figura 4 à ̈ una vista prospettica in esploso di alcuni componenti dell’occhiale; figure 3 is an enlarged perspective view of a detail of the glasses of figures 1 and 2; figure 4 is an exploded perspective view of some components of the glasses;
la figura 4A Ã ̈ una vista, da un angolo diverso, di uno dei componenti della figura 4; Figure 4A is a view, from a different angle, of one of the components of Figure 4;
la figura 5 Ã ̈ una vista prospettica dei componenti della figura 4 in condizione assemblata; Figure 5 is a perspective view of the components of Figure 4 in the assembled condition;
le figure 6, 7 e 8 sono viste in sezione che illustrano schematicamente l’occhiale con un’asta orientata in tre diverse posizioni angolari; e la figura 9 à ̈ una vista prospettica ingrandita di un dettaglio di un occhiale secondo una forma di realizzazione diversa da quella delle figure 1-8. figures 6, 7 and 8 are sectional views which schematically illustrate the eyewear with a temple oriented in three different angular positions; and figure 9 is an enlarged perspective view of a detail of a pair of glasses according to an embodiment different from that of figures 1-8.
Referring initially to Figures 1 and 2, the frame of an eyewear comprises a front 10 and two rods 20, only one of which is illustrated. Each rod 20 is connected in an articulated manner to one of the lateral ends of the front; in the particular embodiment illustrated, the rod 20 is articulated to a protruding attachment portion 11, which extends backwards from a main part 13 of the front which forms the lens-carrying rims 14.
It is understood that the attachment portion 11 does not necessarily have to be formed directly from the front, as in the example of Figures 1 and 2. In other embodiments, not illustrated, the attachment portion to which the rod is an attachment (endpiece) integral with a lateral extremity of the front, for example fixed on one side of a rim. In further embodiments not illustrated, the glasses can be of the rimless type (or â € œrimlessâ €), in which case the attachment portion 11 is directly connected to one of the lenses, to lock and support it. Therefore, in the present context, the expression â € œattack portionâ € indicates one of the two portions, each located at a respective lateral extremity of the eyewear, which can be either integrally or jointly formed (for example fixed) to a support element of a lens (in this example to the front 10) or directly to the lens.
Throughout the description and in the claims that follow, terms and expressions indicating positions and orientations, such as `` front '', `` rear '', `` vertical '', `` internal '', `` external '', etc., are to be understood refer to the condition of glasses worn by a person.
The rod 20 has a front portion 21 which has a vertically elongated rectangular cross section, with two opposite vertical faces 21a, 21b.
In the front portion 21 a window or through opening 22 is formed, delimited at the front by a straight vertical edge 24, which defines a flat, rectangular, vertically elongated surface. The front end portion 21 has a vertical rectilinear outer edge 23, parallel to the vertical edge 24 of the window 22; the outer edge 23 also has a flat surface, rectangular in shape, vertically elongated. The front portion 21 forms a vertical parallelepiped bar portion 25 between the edges 23 and 24.
The parallelepiped bar portion 25 is located at the front end of the rod 20 and has a rectangular section, seen in a horizontal section plane, delimited by the edges 23 and 24, and by two opposite lateral surfaces 26, 27 formed respectively by the two opposite vertical faces 21a, 21b of rod 20.
The attachment portion 11 has a vertical surface 15 facing internally, that is, facing in use towards the temple of a person wearing the glasses. A vertical channel or groove 16 with rectangular section is preferably formed in the surface 15, having a vertical flat bottom 16a and two vertical sides 16b, 16c perpendicular to the bottom 16a.
An elastic element or spring 30 in the form of a plate or shaped metal sheet, preferably made of steel, arranged parallel to the internal vertical surface 15 is fixed to the internal vertical surface 15. The elastic element 30 has a vertical surface 31 (figure 4A) facing outwards, facing the vertical surface 15 of the attachment portion 11.
According to an embodiment, the elastic element 30 is fixed cantilevered to the vertical surface 15 and forms a tab or free end portion 33 which protrudes in the rear direction and has, on the side facing the vertical surface 15, a tooth 34 which extends in a vertical direction and protrudes in an external lateral direction, towards the vertical surface 15. The tab 33 has a smaller vertical dimension than the main part of the elastic element 30, and identifies with this two vertical steps or shoulders , an upper one 35a and a lower one 35b.
According to a preferred embodiment, the vertical surface 31 of the elastic element 30 forms a vertical channel 36 with a rectangular cross section, having a vertical flat bottom 36a and two vertical sides 36b, 36c perpendicular to the bottom 36a. The vertical channel 36 faces the vertical channel 16 formed in the vertical surface 15 of the attachment portion 11 (Figures 6 and 7).
In the example illustrated, the elastic element 30 is constrained to the attachment portion 11 in two distinct points 32a, 32b, aligned in an anterior-posterior direction. The fixing of the elastic element 30 is such that it tends to remain parallel to the internal vertical surface 15; the tongue or free end portion 33 of the elastic element 30 is allowed to bend, in contrast to its own elastic force, by bending in a horizontal plane, away from the vertical surface 15.
In the particular embodiment illustrated, the elastic element 30 is constrained by means of a bolt 32a and a spring or boss 32b which engages in a recess 32c formed in the internal vertical surface 15. The bolt 32a comprises a screw 32d having a head 32 and preferably non-circular, received in a corresponding non-circular seat obtained in the external surface 16 of the terminal attachment portion 11, and a nut 32f. The boss 32c, which protrudes from the surface 31 of the spring 30 to engage in the corresponding recess 32c, creates together with this recess an anti-rotation means which prevents relative rotations, in a vertical plane, of the rod 20 with respect to the elastic element 30 and then to the front 10.
In other embodiments, not illustrated, the elastic element 30 can be fixed in another way, for example by means of one or more welding points, or by means of rivets or bolts, preferably in pairs, placed in a way to prevent relative rotation of the Rod in a vertical plane with respect to the rest of the glasses.
Each temple of the eyewear is able to assume two stable alternative positions: a fully open position (figure 1), in which the temple is rotated away from the front and oriented perpendicular to the internal vertical surface 15, and a folded or closed position (figure 2) in which the rod is oriented parallel to the internal vertical surface 15 and is folded towards the front.
The rotational movements of the rod, as well as the maintenance of the two stable positions, are obtained thanks to the conformation and collaboration of the surfaces of the front portion 21 of the rod, of the elastic element 30 and of the attachment portion 11 .
In the open temple position (Figures 1, 5 and 6), the temple is oriented in a posterior direction, substantially perpendicular to the front 10 of the glasses. The elastic element 30 pushes the rod 20 towards the attachment portion 11.
The parallelepiped bar portion 25 is held, with a reduced play, in a corresponding parallelepiped shaped seat, which is formed partly by the attachment portion 11 and partly by the elastic element 30. More specifically, as shown schematically in Figure 6, the two opposite side faces 26 and 27 of the parallelepiped bar portion 25 are comprised between the vertical flat bottom 16a of the channel 16 and the tongue 33, while the vertical front edge 24 of the window 22 and the vertical outer edge 23 are included between the sides 16b, 16c of the attachment portion 11 and the tooth 34 of the elastic element 30. In the open rod position, the external vertical edge 23 abuts against the sides 16b, 36b, while the tooth 34 abuts against the front edge 24 of the window 22. These two stops, or at least one of the two, keep the rod 20 correctly aligned horizontally.
In the folded temple position (Figures 2, 3 and 7), the temple is oriented in a direction substantially parallel to the front 10 of the glasses. Also in this position, the elastic element 30 pushes the rod 20 towards the attachment portion 11, particularly towards the internal vertical face 15 of the attachment portion 11. The parallelepiped bar portion, together with the seat which receives it, defined in part by the attachment portion 11 and in part by the elastic element 30, constitutes the hinge around which the rod is rotated. As shown schematically in Figure 7, in the folded rod position, the two opposite side faces 26 and 27 of the parallelepiped bar portion 25 are included between the sides 16b, 16c of the attachment portion 11 and the tooth 34 of the element elastic 30, while the vertical front edge 24 of the window 22 and the vertical external edge 23 are included between the vertical flat bottom 16a of the channel 16 and the tab 33 In the folded rod position, the vertical external edge 23 abuts against the vertical bottom 16a of channel 16; this stop keeps the rod 20 horizontal.
The open and folded positions are the only two stable positions, due to the force exerted by the elastic element 30, which pushes the parallelepiped portion 25 towards the attachment portion 11. Figure 8 schematically illustrates a partially rotated position of rod 20, which represents the dead point of instability between the two open and folded positions. In this angular position, the parallelepiped bar portion 25, by virtue of its rectangular section, causes the maximum spread of the elastic element 30 with respect to the attachment portion 11.
Figure 9 shows a different embodiment, in which the elastic element 30 is shaped differently, and contributes to forming three of the four faces of the parallelepiped seat in which the vertical parallelepiped bar portion 25 is held. the fourth face of the seat is, in this example, formed by the internal vertical face 15 of the attachment portion 11.
It is understood that the invention is not limited to the embodiments described and illustrated here, which are to be considered as examples of embodiment of the eyewear; the invention, on the other hand, is susceptible to modifications relating to shapes, dimensions and arrangements of parts, construction details and materials used.
