DESCRIZIONE del modello di utilità industriale avente per TITOLO: DESCRIPTION of the industrial utility model with TITLE:
It is well known that the increasing availability on the market of LED lighting fixtures both in the field of street lighting and urban furniture is due to the obvious economic advantages that this technology has brought about. The reason for this is to be found, on the one hand, in the intrinsic greater luminous efficiency of an LED lamp compared to a traditional one (compare "LED Lighting: A Primer to Lighting the Futurd di Sa / Cageloso, O'Reiiiy Media, July 2012) and, on the other hand, by the possibility offered by this technology of being able to allow granular and real-time control and regulation of the equipment, also through remote control mechanisms, which allow to further increase energy savings (compare EP2131630, TW201208477, KR10104341S, CN 102497709). It is also known how the recent spread of small and easily transportable mobile devices, such as smartphones and tablets, has resulted in a drastic increase in the demand for data traffic from users on the move to mobile operators.
However, compliance with the regulations in force does not allow an arbitrary increase in the number of traditional radio-base stations (known as macrocells), in order to satisfy the increase in the demand for mobile traffic, due to the evident regulatory constraints due to the maximum level of attainable electromagnetic pollution.
The current trend is to combine traditional high-power radio base stations, which cover large areas (macrocells, typically having a coverage range of 2 km), with an appropriate number of devices with lower power, size and complexity. , commonly referred to as metroceile (cells of intermediate size between a microcell, with a typical coverage radius of 500m, and a picocell with a typical coverage radius of 100m) having a typical coverage radius of 250 meters (compare <* > Celi Planning for Wireless Communications ”by Manuel F. Catedra, Artech House Mobile Communications Library, February 1999 and http://www.thinksmallcell.com).
The metroceiles, covering smaller areas but with a greater diffusion on the territory, allow an improvement of the efficiency in the management of voice and data traffic and an increase in the capacity of the service while maintaining the level of electromagnetic pollution below a pre-established threshold of acceptability. (which varies according to national legislation).
In this context, the choice of the sites in which to install these metroceiles is critical, which must satisfy precise constraints both of a geographical nature (for example the position and height of an installation) and relative to their environmental impact (of an architectural, landscape nature). , but also psychological in relation to the perception by users of the presence of a radio transmitting / receiving device) as well as electromagnetic pollution.
The present utility model illustrates a street-type lighting body, which integrates not only the electronics suitable for controlling the light source but also other signal receiving, transmitting and processing apparatuses for the realization of a metroceila integrated in the lamp body, which can offer connectivity services, both voice and data, exploiting the main technologies on the market such as, by way of example and not limiting, GSM, UMTS, LTE, Wi-Fi, Hiperlan ...
II modello di utilità qui descritto si basa sulla piena compatibilità degli apparati che lo compongono in termini di dimensioni geometriche e tecnologie utilizzate, infatti; The utility model described here is based on the full compatibility of the apparatuses that compose it in terms of geometric dimensions and technologies used, in fact;
1 ) l’altezza ottimale di installazione di una metroceila è compatibile con l'altezza alla quale vengono installate le lampade per l'illuminazione stradale; 1) the optimal installation height of one meter is compatible with the height at which street lighting lamps are installed;
2) the dimensions of the electronic devices involved are much smaller than the size of any lighting body on the market, such as to allow their full integration at the cost of minimal internal changes in the geometry of the lamp.
3) The possibility of using plastic compounds in the construction of many components of the lighting body allows the insertion of antennas inside the same so that they are not visible or recognizable from the outside and without their performance being affected by the presence of external metal elements that prevent correct operation.
4) The greater energy requirement introduced by the additional electronic components is of little significance, in the order of less than 10% of the energy consumption of an LED lamp for road use, and is therefore perfectly compatible with the technologies used.
Unlike what happens for common lamps, the remote control system of LED lamps allows the lighting body to be kept constantly energized, and selectively activate the lighting when appropriate environmental characteristics occur (typically relating to lighting or movement. , but also by decision of a control center, compares TW201208477, CN102497709, EP2131630) without wasting energy, being able to keep the electronic devices integrated in them, in charge of providing wireless services, always powered. If, due to regulatory constraints or accidental causes, such devices cannot be kept under voltage without interruptions, the use of a buffer battery is envisaged to make up for periodic interruptions in the energy supply of the electricity network. Since the backup battery is not intended for powering LEDs but for wireless devices (antennas, radios, signal processing cards ...), it can be recharged when the lamp is switched on (typically at night), i.e. when the lighting body is under voltage, or from other energy sources freely available in the environment, as a purely illustrative and non-limiting example, through the use of photovoltaic panels.
Cases are also known in which lamps or traditional lamp supports, i.e. poles and pole-heads, are used to house wireless Wi-Fi routers, used as internet access points (known as internet hot-spots, see CN202253S36) with antennas placed outside the lamp and which make use of a power supply system separate from that of the lamp itself, therefore with obvious problems of installation and visual impact. In addition, these systems are based on the availability of a wired connection that carries the signal to the router.
A differenza di quanto già noto in letteratura e presente sul mercato, il modello di utilità in oggetto riguarda un sistema integrato dove tanto l’elettronica per l’elaborazione del segnale che le antenne sono integrate all'interno del corpo illuminante, e quindi non distinguibili dall’esterno, inoltre il presente modello di utilità prevede l’impiego di lampade a LED per garantire la piena compatibilità degli apparati elettronici utilizzati in termini di gestione dell’alimentazione Unlike what is already known in literature and present on the market, the utility model in question concerns an integrated system where both the electronics for signal processing and the antennas are integrated inside the lighting body, and therefore not distinguishable. from the outside, this utility model also provides for the use of LED lamps to ensure full compatibility of the electronic devices used in terms of power management
The integration of the antennas inside the illuminated body is made possible by the availability of compartments made of non-conducting material, which allow the propagation of an electromagnetic signal that passes through them, in which they are housed.
The integration of the electronic components for the management of the wireless and LED functions also provides for the possibility of using dedicated radio links, even in MESH mode (i.e. a mesh network, with decentralized architecture, created through the use of a local network without wires, where each node acts as a repeater by retransmitting the broadcast signals coming from the nearest nodes), to provide a signal to the electronics on board the lighting body.
Finally, the main application of this utility model is not that of the sole creation of hot-spots for internet connection but of the creation of metros for cellular applications, in order to make voice traffic, data and telematic services available to users. in accordance with the needs of the operators in the sector and exploiting the possibilities offered by LED technology.

Si fornisce, di seguito, una caso applicativo d’esempio, a titolo puramente illustrativo e non limitativo The compartment containing the antennas must be closed by a plastic cover (Figure 1 detail I la, l ic and Figure 2 detail 12a, 12c) that allows the antennas to correctly radiate the electromagnetic field, the position, number and arrangement of the antennas will depend instead of the type of service and wireless coverage required. It is desired that a lighting body of the type in question of the present utility model offers Wi-Fi coverage in the 2.4GHz band; it is decided to divide the relevant cell into three angular sectors adjacent to 120 °, for each of which an antenna with sectorial coverage at 120 ° is used (Figure 1 detail 21 c, 31 c, 41 c and Figure 2 detail 22c, 32c, 42c), and an equal number of radios (Figure 1 detail 21 b and Figure 2 detail 22b) operating on non-overlapping channels, connected to a signal processing board (Figure 1 detail 31 b and Figure 2 detail 32b) all powered by a power supply device (shared with the illuminating part of the lamp) connected to the electrical network, and equipped with an additional buffer battery to be used in the event of interruptions in the energy supply by the same network. Connectivity is brought to the pole via an optical fiber connection that will connect to the signal processing board (Figure 1 detail 31 b and Figure 2 detail 32b) or, if not available, via a radio link, which will require an additional antenna and a further dedicated radios, always installed inside the lighting body. The antennas placed inside the lamp will provide connectivity to users who will be within the coverage range of the metrocella, but not being visible from the outside, they will not induce situations of discomfort in the population and will allow a perfect integration, from a landscape point of view, of the lighting body in the urban fabric.
