La presente invenzione riguarda un metodo e un dispositivo per la corretta rimagliatura della punta chiusa delle calze, a mezzo della stessa macchina circolare che le produce. Lo stesso brevetto descrive un dispositivo per l'attuazione del detto metodo e comprendente le le platine della metà del cilindro degli aghi tolti di lavoro provviste di un uncino con cui impegnare il corrispondente ago antistante mentre è sollevato; una camma, agente sul tallone di dette platine, la quale ne determina una escursione radiale centrifuga tale da spostare fuori del cilindro la testa del corrispondente ago antistante; una rotella, girevole all'interno dell'incavo di dette platine, per consentire di avvicinare il primo semirango della sacca da rimagliare agli aghi vuoti di maglia.
