Abstract

Catalytic composition comprises gallium (I), at least one element selected from lanthanides (II) and a zeolite (III) belonging to the MFI and/or MEL families. The crystal lattice of the zeolite is made up of silicon oxide and at least one metal oxide selected from aluminum oxide, boron oxide or gallium oxide. Independent claims are included for the following: (A) preparing the catalytic composition by: (i) treating (III) with (I) or (II), treating the obtained product with the (II) or (I), and drying and calcining; or (ii) treating the zeolite with a mixture of (I) and (II), and drying and calcining; (B) preparing aromatic hydrocarbon compounds by contacting at least one 3-6C aliphatic hydrocarbon with a catalytic composition.
