Abstract

A method for controlling a single-phase electric motor 1 with permanent magnets, connected to a load and defining with the latter a non-negligible inertial system powered by the mains voltage Vxy, comprising a first phase in which the rotor 1A of the motor 1 is placed in a known spatial position with regard to the stator 1C and a second phase in which the rotor 1A moves at a desired rotational velocity, by the alternate energisation of at least two portions of the stator winding 1C with signals of opposite polarity VA, VB and by combining such signals VA, VB so as to produce an electrical powering of the stator winding 1C which enables the movement at the desired velocity of the rotor 1A. The device comprises electronic type switches connected to each portion of the stator winding and controlled by a control unit. <IMAGE>
