Abstract
To couple a tube 3 - in plastic or with an aluminium core coated internally and externally with polyethylene or other plastic material - to a rigid component 7 in bronze or other material: a metal ring 1 with a bevelled edge 1.1 is pushed onto the tube 3; the tube is deformed at the end 3.4 to be connected, in order to be pushed onto a spigot 7.1 forming part of the connection and having external annular sealing profiles 7.2. By means of a tool with two forked jaws, engaging a shoulder 7.3 on the rigid component 7 and a shoulder 1.2 formed from the edge of the ring 1 opposite to the bevelled edge 1.1, the ring 1 and the rigid component 7 are brought together axially to lock the tube 3 to the spigot 7.1.
