Abstract
Glucoside ethers of general formula I: <IMAGE> in which R = H, -CH3, -CH2OX; R'=H, X,-CH3, -CH2-CH2-OX; X is hydrogen unless one of these represents the group <IMAGE> in which the R"-CH-CH-R'" residue represents a hydrocarbon radical having from 3 to 20 carbon atoms, R" being an alkyl radical comprising from 1 to 18 carbon atoms and R"' being H or an alkyl group having from 1 to 17 carbon atoms is described. The aforesaid molecules can be used as versatile non- ionic surfactants in various formulations with a good foam-generating capacity, the ability to suspend mixtures and a low production cost.
