Abstract

The cosmetics applicator etc. has a barrel (1) with a reservoir (14) for the liq. to be applied. The liq. is driven to the applicator tip by a piston (16) attached to a threaded spindle (18), prevented from rotating by a clamp (19) fitted inside the barrel. The threaded spindle engages a nut (27) fitted inside a rotary cap (21). Ratchet teeth (8) are formed on an internal shoulder and cooperate with a resilient claw projecting from the inner end of the cap. The ratchet permits the cap to be rotated in one direction only.
