Abstract

A mixing and filtering unit for use in an injection moulding installation and comprising, a housing; a housing inlet for coupling to an injection unit; a housing outlet for coupling to an injection nozzle; annular elements disposed in successive contiguous disposition coaxially within the housing so as to define together, a central, throughgoing passage way and, with an inner surface of the housing, an annular flow space; adjacent contiguous faces of said annular elements being formed with score-lines so as to define microe-passages which communicate between the central passage way and the annular flow space. A terminal element located within said housing adjacent said housing outlet and being formed, on a first face thereof contiguous with an adjacent face of an annular element with a first central recess and on a second face thereof adjacent said housing outlet with a second central recess. Recesses are sepd. by a body portion of terminal element forming an end wall of said central passage way.
