Abstract
For the controlled dispensing of a liquid into a cleaning water mainstream, a dispensing reservoir at least partially surrounds the mainstream passageway between the inlet and outlet ends. An inlet passageway extends between an opening into the mainstream passageway and an opening into the reservoir. Downstream of the opening of the inlet passageway into the mainstream passageway, there is an outlet passageway extending between an opening into the mainstream passageway and an opening into the reservoir. When water flows along the mainstream passageway and a control valve is in the open position, a portion of the water mainstream is diverted along the inlet passageway, into the reservoir and a portion of any liquid in the reservoir passes along the outlet passageway from the reservoir to the mainstream passageway.
