Abstract

Glass cutter for cutting elliptical plates consists of a base plate with suction cups on one side and two guiding slides intersecting each other at right angles on the other side. Each slide consists of a cursor joined by a pivot to a guide to which a rule is attached, at one end of which a glass cutter is provided on the lower face. Clamping screws are provided to clamp the ruler in the guide. For use in cutting glass sheets in circular or elliptical shapes in sizes up to several metres dia. The device is not limited by side mountings.
