Abstract

The cooler is inserted into and removable from its operational position as an assembled unit. It has a heat exchanger (1), a duct (2) connected to the heat exchanger, and fan (8) and drive contained in the duct. A silencer containing sound-absorbing material is mounted on the heat exchanger to reduce noise carried by air moved by the fan. The duct has a cylindrical section to support the fan. The outer edge of the fan is supported away from the duct with a separation not greater than 3% of the diameter of the fan.
