Abstract

The rotor winding device, for rotating machines, has a device to hold the rotor, a housing arrangement next to the rotor when the latter is held by the holding device, a first ring arrangement rotating in the housing about an axis at right angles to the core's longitudinal axis, and a second ring arrangement rotating in the housing about an axis at right angles to the core's longitudinal axis. The first and second ring arrangements have devices to accept wire from a wire feed and to pass the wire adjacent to the core such that the wire can be wound on the core. A drive rotates the first and second ring arrangements thereby winding the wire around the core.
