Abstract

A process for producing a compound represented by the general formula (4) comprising converting the compound represented by the general formula(I ) into a compound represented by the general formula (2) by performing the catalytic hydrogenation of a compound represented by the general formula (1) in the presence of an acid, and reacting the compound represented by the general formula (2) with a compound represented by the general formula (3) wherein the compound represented by the general formula (3) is in the amount of not less than 1 equivalent to not. more than 3 equivalent based on the amount of the compound represented by the general formula(2 ), wherein, R1, R2 , R3, R4 , and R5 are as hereinbefore described.
