Description

TWO-HANDLE SPINNING TOP Applicant: Maor Avni 2006.1 FIELD OF THE INVENTION The present invention relates generally to games. More particularly, the present invention concerns a two spinning handle top apparatus, which both its ends are used as spinning handles.
BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION Several tops and top related toys are know in the art. Such tops require a limited degree of skill to operate and produce little visual effect when span. Prior art top spinning toys, which are known, include one spinning handle. Also, prior art top spinning toys generally include a hollow structure with a wall extending around the axis of rotation of the top and increasing in diameter from its lower end upward to a region of maximum diameter. The upper portion of the top usually includes a handle for spinning the top.
In prior art tops a single handle, or a string device or an external to the top device are used to spin the top on its axis.
As a result known tops may only be used when one handle is used for spinning and the visual effect created from the spin can be easily deduced from the hollow structure of the top.
SUMMARY OF THE PRESENT INVENTION The object of the present invention is to manufacture two spinning handle top made of material, such as curved wire, which both its handles may be used as spinning handles.
According to one embodiment of the present invention the top is made, which both its handles are used as spinning handles.
According to a further embodiment of the present invention the top is made of curved material.
According to a further embodiment of the present invention the top balances on a central point to form a shape.
According to another embodiment of the present invention the top height is no less then 1 .5 centimeters and no more than 100 centimeters.
According to a further embodiment of the present invention the top's circle is symmetrical.
According to a further embodiment of the present invention the length of the spinning handle is proportional to the curved body of the top's circle.
According to one embodiment of the present invention the top curved body is semi circle.
According to another embodiment of the present invention the top curved body is a circle.
According to another embodiment of the present invention the length of the spinning handle does not exceed the diameter of the curved body top's circle.
According to another embodiment of the present invention the length of the spinning handle is less than the radius of the curved body top's circle.
According to one embodiment of the present invention the diameter of the top is identical from start to end.
According to a further embodiment of the present invention the diameter of the top does not exceed more than half the radius of the body of the top's circle.
According to another embodiment of the present invention the diameter of the top is less than sixteenth of the body of the top's radius.
According to one embodiment of the present invention the angle between the top's handle and the top body do not exceed 120 degrees.
According to another embodiment of the present invention the angle between the top's handle and the top body is less than 30 degrees.
According to further embodiments of the present invention the shape of the top is rectangular, triangular, circular or cross like.
According to one further embodiment of the present invention the shape of the base of the top is semi circular.
Further embodiments, features and advantages of the invention will be pointed out from the specification as they are set out.
The present invention may be manufactured using various means including by hand or machine, using techniques such as filing, soldering, casting, minting, imprinting, plastic injection, from various materials, including from metal, wood, or plastic.
BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE DRAWINGS Preferred embodiments of the two spinning handle top apparatus according to the invention are described below, for the clarification of further features, by means of the drawings.
They show: Fig. 1 A general perspective view of the two spinning handle top held by a person.
Fig. 2 A schematic sectional view of the two spinning handle top.
Fig. 3 A horizontal sectional of the two spinning handle top.
Fig. 4 A graphical perspective view of a spinning two spinning handle top shown in figure 1 and 2, showing the two spinning handle top creating a visual effect.
Fig. 5 A perspective view of a spinning two spinning handle top with triangular shaped body.
Fig. 6 A perspective view of a spinning two spinning handle top with rectangular shaped body.
Fig. 7 A perspective view of a spinning two spinning handle top with cross like shaped body.
Fig. 8 A perspective view of a spinning two spinning handle top with semi circle shaped body.
DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF PREFERRED EMBODIMENTS Reference is now made to Fig 1 which provides a general perspective view of the two spinning handle top 102.
Next, reference is made to Fig. 2 which shows the two spinning handle top 102 which is made out of a metal body, having unique curves 204, 206 and a symmetrical build 208 creating a proportional top.
The two spinning handle top according to the present invention, which is made out of a curved material 210 is span using one of the handles 212 and is balanced on a central point 214 to form a spinning shape as described in Fig. 4. According to Figs. 1 and 2 the two spinning handle top can be made out of various materials including iron, aluminum, plastic, silver and gold.
Further, according to Figs. 1 and 2 the top may also be made out of twisted wire, or from a wire wrapped around a round object such as a coin.
According to Figs. 1 and 2 various gems, coins, objects may be installed or affixed to the inner side of the top wire. Such objects can include electronic objects such as electronic devices which react to the spinning of the top. Also, such objects may include miniaturized plaques containing text and graphics, engraved, printed, imprinted or bold.
Next, turning to Fig. 3 details of the two handle spinning top according to the present invention may be seen in Figs. 3.
Reference is now made to Fig. 3 which shows the two handle spinning top preferred measurements for manufacturing. It will be appreciated by those skilled in the art that such measure are provided as an example of the present invention.
As may be seen from Fig. 3, the two handle spinning top should not be smaller than around 15 millimeters in height and should not be taller than 1 ,000 millimeters in height 302. Smaller or larger tops may be too difficult to rotate by hand, string or electrical device, but may be made according to this invention.
According to Fig. 3 of the present invention the top must be symmetrical, the top spinning handles should be longer than 1 centimeter 304 to allow ease of holding and use.
Also, the length of the spinning handle is proportional to the curved body of the top and does not exceed the diameter of the top circle 306 nor be less than it's radius 308.
According to Fig. 3 of the present invention the diameter of the top itself from length to length is identical and does not vary more than exceed half the radius of the top's circle nor is less than sixteenth of the top's radius 316.
According to Fig. 3 of the present invention the angle between the top's handles and the top body does not exceed 90 degrees and are not less than 60 degrees 310. The angle between the two top's handle creates a phantom triangular shape which meet on point N on the top's symmetrical midsection crossing line 312 no more than a third of the radius (1/3R) 314 away from the central point of the top's body 0 314.
Turning next to Fig. 4 of the present invention. Fig. 4 shows a graphical perspective view of a spinning two spinning handle top shown in figure 1 and 2, showing the two spinning handle top creating a visual effect.
According to Fig. 4 of the present invention once the top is span by a user or a machine it will rotate on its axis 214 creating a visual effect 402.
Next, turning to Figs. 5, 6, 7. According to Figs. 5, 6, 7 the top 102 may appear in different colors and in different textures, the wire or material from which it is made. According to Figs. 5, 6, 7 may appear in different shapes such as round 402, triangular 502, rectangular 602, cross sign like 702, and other shapes such as square, oval, pentagonal, hexagonal, heptagonal, octagonal, polygonal.
Reference is now made to Fig 8 which is a perspective view of a spinning two spinning handle top with semi circle shaped body.
According to Fig. 8 of the present invention, the top 102 may also appear with a semi-circle 802 as the base for the top.
According to this preferred embodiment of the present invention the angle between one handle 804 and a second handle 806 is preferably no less than 30 degrees and preferably no more than 120 degrees.
It should be appreciated that the features disclosed in the foregoing description, and/or in the following claims, and/or in the accompanying drawings may, both separately and in any combination thereof, be material for realizing the present invention in diverse forms thereof.
