Abstract

A deadlock 1 comprises a housing 5 containing a bolt 9, an arrester 10 and a rotatable driver 22. The bolt 9 and arrester 10 are provided with complementary interengaging formations 17 and 15 respectively to retain the bolt 9 in both the bolted and unbolted positions and the driver 22 is provided with a cam 24 which on rotation of the driver 22 actuates the arrester 10 to release the bolt 9 and to move the bolt 9 to the bolted or unbolted position. <IMAGE> [GB2143574A]
