Abstract
The stepper motor has the flat rotor lying above the flat stator. The multipolar rotor (11) is magnetised in the axial sense and comprises, in the faces facing the main pole pieces (1,2), alternate north and south poles distributed alternately around the periphery. Each of the pole pieces presents a concave internal edge carrying pole teeth (5) separated by slots (6). - An intermediate pole piece (7) is placed between the principal pole pieces and presents intermediate teeth (8) facing the pole teeth (5) and positioned between them. The core (3) on which the coil (4) is mounted magnetically couples the pole pieces and the coil (4). The step of the teeth (5) of the pole pieces is different to the step of the rotor poles.
