Abstract

The lamellar construction serves for treating liquids, in particular for the separation of solid and/or liquid particles from a liquid or for the contacting of the liquid with a gaseous substance or for the biological treatment by using e.g. a dropping body or a dipper rotatable disc or for cooling or degassing the liquid. The lamellar construction contains mutually parallel channels. The walls of the channels are expediently formed by circular cross-section partitioning elements with advantageously identical radius of the circular arcs, and in such a manner that the edges of the individual circles are disposed at the centres of the inside of the adjacent circular element or are connected thereto. The centre point of the circular arcs coincides with the every second intersection point of the square or rectangular matrix. In the intermediate spaces being formed around the intersection points of the square or rectangular matrix incorporating simultaneously the centres of the circular arcs, between the circular partitioning elements, one or more partitioning elements provided with downwards and/or upwards directed channel-like profiles or independent inserts are arranged, which are forming further channels being parallel with the former ones with partly or completely separated spaces, in the pitch lines of the square or rectangular matrix or lying symmetrically thereto.
