Description
A találmány tárgya eljárás vas vagy acél munkadarabok, elsősorban csövek, huzalok, lemezek automatikus berendezésben végzett tűzihorganyzására, amelynek során a munkadarabot zsírtalanítás, maratás, öblítés, folyasztószer felvitele és adott esetben szárítás után cinkfürdőbe merítjük, majd a fürdőből való kiemelés után lefúvatjuk és lehűtjük.FIELD OF THE INVENTION The present invention relates to a process for hot-dip galvanizing iron or steel workpieces, in particular pipes, wires, sheets, in a zinc bath after degreasing, etching, rinsing, application of flux and optionally drying, followed by blowing and cooling.
A tűzihorganyzás során, főként ivóvíz vezetékek készítésekor, az anyagra felviendő cinkmennyiséget g/m2 mértékegységben megadják. Ezek a bevonatértékek azonban nemcsak a tiszta cinkrétegre vonatkoznak, hanem többnyire az eljárás során diffúzió útján kialakuló vas—cink ötvözet rétegekre is. így a megadott összes bevonatmennyiség általában a tiszta cink mennyiségén kívül az ötvözetrétegben lévő anyag mennyiségét is tartalmazza. The amount of zinc to be applied to the material during hot dip galvanizing, mainly for the preparation of drinking water pipes, is given in g / m 2 . However, these coating values apply not only to the pure zinc layer, but also to diffusion-zinc alloy layers formed during the process. Thus, in addition to the amount of pure zinc, the total amount of coating indicated generally includes the amount of material in the alloy layer.
In the prior art, when hot dip galvanizing iron or steel workpieces, the surface of the workpiece to be coated is prepared by etching, applying flux and optionally oven drying. The surface thus prepared is immersed in the tin bath. The temperature of the zinc bath in the prior art is generally 450-465 ° C and the steel tubes are kept in the zinc bath for most of two minutes. After the tube is removed from the zinc bath, the excess material is blown off with high pressure air or steam. This process requires about 10 mp to achieve a really smooth and shiny surface. The workpiece can then be immersed in 5060 ° C cooling water.
A jelen találmánnyal olyan eljárás kidolgozása a célunk, amellyel lehetővé válik egy adott g/m2 mennyiségű egységnyi cinkbevonat létrehozása oly módon, hogy a cinkfürdőből ehhez a lehető legkisebb cinkmennyiséget használjuk föl anélkül, hogy a korrózióállóság emiatt csökkenne. It is an object of the present invention to provide a process which makes it possible to formulate a given amount of g / m 2 of zinc by using as little zinc as possible in a zinc bath without thereby reducing the corrosion resistance.
További célunk a találmánnyal a lehető legkisebbre csökkenteni annak a veszélyét, hogy a horganyzandó munkadarab vasanyagából diffúzió útján egy rész a cinkfürdőbe jusson és a cinkfelhasználás hatékonyságát csökkentse. It is a further object of the present invention to minimize the risk of diffusion of a portion of the iron material of the galvanized workpiece into the zinc bath and reduce the efficiency of zinc utilization.
A kitűzött feladatot a találmány szerint úgy oldottuk meg, hogy a munkadarabot csak addig merítjük a cinkfürdőbe, amíg a levegővel és/vagy vízgőzzel történő lefúvatás után a kívánt cinkmennyiség/négyzetméter értéknél kisebb cinkmennyiség/négyzetméter eloszlást eredményező réteg rakódik le, majd a fürdőből történő kivétel után a munkadarabot 250 °C-nál magasabb hőmérsékleten tartjuk, amíg a kívánt cinkmennyiség/négyzetméter értéket elérjük és közben a vasnak a cinkrétegbe történő diffúziójával intermetallikus cink-vas réteget alakítunk ki a bevonat egy rész rétegében, végül a munkadarabot ismert módon lehűtjük.The object of the present invention has been solved by immersing the workpiece in the zinc bath only until, after blowing with air and / or water vapor, a layer having a zinc content of less than the desired zinc per square meter is deposited and then removed from the bath. afterwards, the workpiece is maintained at a temperature above 250 ° C until the desired amount of zinc per square meter is reached, while diffusing the iron into the zinc layer to form an intermetallic zinc-iron layer in a portion of the coating, and finally cooling the workpiece.
A hagyományos megoldásokhoz képest tehát a bemerítési idő lerövidül. By immersing the workpiece in the zinc bath according to the invention only after the air and / or water vapor has been blown off, a layer of zinc per square meter distribution of the desired zinc amount / square meter is deposited, it is obvious that the zinc bath is used less than before. up. Thus, the immersion time is reduced compared to conventional solutions. It is also possible to increase the blowing intensity during blasting and thus reduce the amount of zinc adhering to the workpiece.
However, in order to ensure that the desired amount of zinc per square meter of the finished workpiece is adequate, the workpieces must be kept at temperatures above 250 ° C for a period of time. At temperatures above 250 ° C, diffusion processes take place in which iron diffuses from the workpiece into the zinc layer, where an alloy layer is formed in addition to the pure sinter layer. This diffusion-formed iron-zinc alloy layer results in an increase in the thickness of the zinc layer when the overall coating is determined.
After removing the workpiece from the zinc bath, the increasing thickness of the iron-zinc alloy layer on the surface prevents the iron from diffusing into the zinc bath and at the same time allows the desired thickness of the coating layer to develop at temperatures above 250 ° C. The parameters of the alloy layer, as already mentioned, are determined by the diffusion processes and the characteristics of the alloy formation. The diffusion process stops only at temperatures below 250 ° C, at which point further alloy formation is stopped. The processes do not affect the quality of galvanizing, since the iron-zinc alloy layer has extremely good corrosion resistance. In fact, the alloy formation time described is limited only by the need to stop the diffusion processes before the pure zinc layer on the workpiece is completely transformed.
A találmány szerint a munkadarabokat célszerűen addig kell a cinkfürdőbe meríteni, amíg a levegővel és/vagy vízgőzzel történő lefúvatás után a kívánt cinkmennyiség/ négyzetméter értéknek legfeljebb 95 %-át, előnyösen legfeljebb 85 %-át jelentő cinkmennyiség/négyzetméter eloszlást eredményező réteg rakódik le. Ennek megfelelően a cinkmegtakarítás akár 15 %-os is lehet: Ezen túlmenően megtakarítást jelent az is, hogy a cinkfürdőt lényegesen kisebb mértékben szennyezzük a vassal, mint a hagyományos megoldásoknál. Ez ugyancsak a technológia gazdaságosságát fokozza.According to the invention, the workpieces should preferably be immersed in a zinc bath until after deposition with air and / or water vapor, a layer having a distribution of up to 95%, preferably up to 85%, of the desired amount of zinc per square meter is deposited. Correspondingly, zinc savings can be as high as 15%: In addition, saving zinc baths with iron is significantly lower than with conventional solutions. This also increases the cost-effectiveness of the technology.
A 250 °C fölötti hőmérsékleten történő hőntartás idejét a találmány szerint úgy kell megválasztani, hogy a cinkmennyiség/négyzetméter érték az ötvözetképződés során célszerűen legalább 10 %-kal, előnyösen azonban legalább 15 %-kal növekedjék. Az eljárás foganatosítása során igen jó eredményt biztosít olyan cink—vas ötvözetréteg kialakítása, amellyel az eredeti rétegvastagság mintegy 60—75 % vagy akár annál nagyobb mértékben növekszik a hőntartás során. Igen jó eredményeket ad a hőntartás során 80, illetve 90 % értékkel megnövekedett ötvözetréteg is. The temperature retention time at temperatures above 250 ° C according to the invention should be chosen such that the amount of zinc per square meter is expediently increased by at least 10%, preferably by at least 15%, during the alloy formation. A very good result of the process is the development of a zinc-iron alloy layer which increases the original layer thickness by about 60-75% or more during heat retention. The alloy layer, which is increased by 80% and 90%, respectively, gives very good results. As we have said, the upper limit merely means that the outermost layer must be a pure zinc layer. Preferably, however, its thickness does not exceed 5% of the total coating layer.
A fentieknek megfelelően a munkadarabokat a cinkfürdőből történő kivitel után célszerűen legalább 20 mp-ig, előnyösen 60-90 mp-ig tartjuk 250 °C-nál, előnyösen 300 °C-nál magasabb hőmérsékleten. As stated above, the workpieces are suitably held at a temperature above 250 ° C, preferably above 300 ° C, for at least 20 seconds, preferably 60-90 seconds, after leaving the zinc bath.
During the process, a heat holding time of 20-180 seconds, and in particular a holding time in the range of 20-120 seconds, proved to be advantageous. Below this, the galvanized workpieces are exposed to warm standing air or water vapor. It is advisable to keep the workpieces at a temperature higher than 250 ° C for a longer period of time than they have been in the zinc bath. thus, minimal use of zinc can be achieved.
A találmány szerinti eljárást célszerűen nedves horganyzás formájában végezzük. Az ilyen technológiánálThe process according to the invention is preferably carried out in the form of wet galvanizing. With such technology
-2183 217 a horganyzandó munkadarabok, például csövek lényegesen alacsonyabb hőmérsékleten kerülnek a cinkfürdőbe, mintha száraz kemencét alkalmaznánk. Since the diffusion phenomena only start above 250 ° C, the time that can be spent in the zinc bath 5 without any diffusion occurring is prolonged. Obviously, diffusion in the zinc bath should be kept as low as possible, and diffusion should only be achieved after removal from the zinc bath. 10
A találmány,értelmében ezért célszerű a cinkfürdőbe 0,08-03, előnyösen 0,2 s% alumínium adalékot bevinni, minthogy az alumínium a diffúziós folyamatokat, ennek megfelelően az ötvözetképződést gátolja.According to the invention, it is therefore advantageous to introduce 0.08 to 3%, preferably 0.2%, by weight of aluminum in the zinc bath, since aluminum inhibits diffusion processes and, consequently, alloy formation.
20Thus, according to the invention, the ratio of the pure zinc layer in the hot-dip galvanized workpiece coating layer to the alloy layer is reduced during galvanizing, thus forming a significantly thicker alloy layer than conventional processes, thereby saving a significant amount of zinc. 20
A találmány további részleteit példák segítségével ismertetjük.Further details of the invention are illustrated by the following examples.
A vizsgálat eredményeit részletesebben az 1. táblázatban mutatjuk 35 be.Tubes of various sizes were coated with zinc, some of which were prepared in the conventional manner, i.e., not using the increased alloying phase and the other treated with heat retention according to the invention. On the workpieces, the extent of the zinc coating growth during heat retention was measured on both internal and external surfaces. In addition, the distribution of the coating layer on both the outer and inner surfaces was also investigated, and it was surprisingly found that for large obb tubes, there was some leveling of the layers on the outer and inner surfaces. The results of the assay are shown in greater detail in Table 1.
A találmányt a továbbiakban a rajzokon látható diagramok segítségével ismertetjük részletesen. 'The vertical axis of the diagrams which permeates the figures shows the thickness of the zinc coating in g / m 2 . Horizontal shafts have the hoss size of the test tubes broken. One end of the tubes is powder 1 bah, the other end is at point 12. '
Az 1—3. ábrákon 110 mp-es merítési idővel kezelt csövekre vonatkozó adatokat, mutatunk be. Az 1. ábrán a fürdőből történő kiemelés sebessége 0,7 m/sec. volt. A lefúvatást 1,2 bar nyomással végeztük a csőpalástról, a belső részből a kifúvatás 5 bar nyomással történt. A fúvatási idő 03 mp voltAz 1. jelű görbék 12 mp-es hűtés után nyert cinkbevonatra vonatkoznak. Az ábrákon a szaggatott vonal a csövek belsején lerakodott rétegre, a kihúzott vonal a külső paláston lévő rétegre vonatkozik. A minták hossza egységesen 500 mm volt.1-3. Figures 1 to 4 show data for tubes treated with a immersion time of 110 s. In Figure 1, the rate of removal from the bath is 0.7 m / sec. volt. Blowing was performed at a pressure of 1.2 bar from the tubular sheath, and a pressure of 5 bar from the inner part. The blowing time was 03 seconds. The curves 1 refer to the zinc coating obtained after 12 seconds of cooling. In the figures, the dashed line refers to the layer deposited on the inside of the tubes, the drawn line refers to the layer on the outer casing. The length of the samples was uniformly 500 mm.
A 2. jelű görbék 60 mp-es merítési idővel készült darabokra vonatkoznak. A 3. jelű görbékhez tartozó munkadarabok merítési ideje 90 mp volt. Valamennyi csövet 250 °C-nál magasabb hőmérsékleten hőn tartottuk.Curves 2 refer to pieces made with a 60 second immersion time. Immersion time for workpieces for curves 3 was 90 seconds. All tubes were kept at temperatures above 250 ° C.
A 2. The diagrams in Figure 2 are for 3/4 inch tubes treated with a reduced 0.6 m / sec boost compared to Figure 1 and an outlet pressure of 6 bar. Curves 4 represent data after 13 seconds of cooling, and curves 5 represent 60 seconds of treatment time. Here, the dashed line refers to the inside of the tube and the dashed line to the outside.
A 3. ábrán olyan 6/4 collos csöveken kapott adatokat mutattunk be, amelyeknél a kiemelési sebesség ismét 0,7 m/mp, a lefúvatáshoz 1,1 és a kifúvatáshoz 4 bar nyomású levegőt használtunk fel. A kifúvatási idő 1,2 mp vöd. Az így vizsgáit próbák hosszúsága 400 mm volt. A 6. jelű görbék 10 mp-es lehűtés után mutatják a bevonat vastagságát, a 7. jelű görbéken pedig 75 mp-es lehűtéssel kezelt csövek bevonatrétegét jelöljük.Figure 3 shows a set of data obtained from 6/4 inch tubes in which the lifting speed again at 0, 7 m / sec, the air cooling was used and 1.1 to 4 bar pressure air stripping. The blow-out time is 1.2 sec. The length of the probes thus tested was 400 mm. Curves 6 indicate the thickness of the coating after 10 seconds of cooling, and curves 7 indicate the coating layer of tubes treated with 75 seconds of cooling.
A 4. A lefúvatási nyomásFigure 4 shows the values measured on 3-inch tubes. These were treated with a dipping time of 140 s and the lift was performed at a rate of 0.5 m / s. The bleed pressure

1,7 mp, a minták hossza 150 mm volt. A 8. jelű görbéket 10 mp-es lehűtési időnél, a 9. jelű görbéket pedig 60 mpmp-es periódus után vettük fel.1.7 seconds, samples were 150 mm long. Curves 8 were recorded at a cooling time of 10 seconds, and curves 9 were recorded after a period of 60 seconds.
Az 5. ábrán fél collos csöveket merítettünk 60 mp-ig 460°C-os cinkfürdőbe. A lefúvatást 2 bar nyomással végeztük. Itt a 10. jelű görbék 10 mp-es hűtést, a 11. jelű görbék 90 mp-es hőn tartás utáni állapotot mutatnak. In Figure 5, half-inch tubes were immersed in a zinc bath at 460 ° C for 60 seconds. The blowdown was carried out at a pressure of 2 bar. Here, the curves 10 show cooling for 10 seconds, and curves 11 show conditions after 90 seconds of heat.
Tests have shown that, as a result of maintaining the temperature above 250 ° C, the corrosion resistance was at least as good as that of the galvanized tubes known in the art, and the folding test did not result in a less favorable result than the material treated according to the invention.
