Claims (17)

1. Postupak proizvodnje produkta fermentacije iz lignocelulozne biomase, gdje se navedeni postupak sastoji u: (a) dodavanju osnovne sirovine za lignoceluloznu biomasu u jednostadijski digestor, pri čemu navedena osnovna sirovina sadrži celulozu, hemicelulozu, te lignin; (b) izlaganju navedene osnovne sirovine reakcijskoj otopini koja sadrži vodenu paru ili tekuću vruću vodu u navedenom digestoru, radi solubiliziranja barem dijela navedene hemiceluloze u tekućoj fazi i radi dobivanja čvrste faze bogate celulozom; (c) rafiniranju navedene čvrste faze bogate celulozom, zajedno s navedenom tekućom fazom, u mehaničkom rafinatoru radi smanjivanja prosječne veličine čestica navedene čvrste faze bogate celulozom, čime se dobije smjesu koja sadrži rafinirane krutine bogate celulozom i navedenu tekuću fazu; (d) enzimskoj hidrolizi navedene smjese u hidrolitičkom reaktoru s enzimima celulazama kako bi se dobilo fermentabilne šećere iz navedene smjese, pri čemu navedeni hidrolitički reaktor uključuje jedan ili više stadija hidrolize; i (e) fermentiranju barem dijela navedenih fermentabilnih šećera u fermentoru kako bi se proizvelo produkt fermentacije.
2. Postupak u skladu s patentnim zahtjevom 1, pri čemu: (i) navedenu osnovnu sirovinu za lignoceluloznu biomasu se bira iz skupine koju čine tvrdo drvo, meko drvo, bagasa od šećerne trske, slama od šećerne trske, energetska trska, kukuruzno krmivo, kukuruzni klipovi, kukuruzno vlakno, te njihove kombinacije; ili (ii) navedenu osnovnu sirovinu za lignoceluloznu biomasu se predobrađuje, prije koraka (a), uz pomoć jedne ili više tehnika koje se bira iz skupine koju čine čišćenje, pranje, predobrada vodenom parom, sušenje, mljevenje, klasiranje čestica po veličini, te njihove kombinacije.
3. Postupak u skladu s patentnim zahtjevom 1, pri čemu se barem dio navedene reakcijske otopine dodaje u navedenu osnovnu sirovinu u predimpregnatoru prije koraka (b) ili pri čemu navedena reakcijska otopina dodatno sadrži kiselinu, pri čemu navedena kiselina može biti octena kiselina.
4. Postupak u skladu s patentnim zahtjevom 1, pri čemu se navedena reakcijska otopina sastoji od vodene pare ili tekuće vruće vode.
5. Postupak u skladu s patentnim zahtjevom 1, pri čemu korak (b) uključuje: (i) vrijeme boravka u digestoru od otprilike 2 minute do otprilike 4 sati, pri čemu je po mogućnosti navedeno vrijeme boravka u digestoru otprilike 10 minuta ili kraće; ili (ii) temperaturu digestora od otprilike 150 °C do otprilike 220 °C, pri čemu je po mogućnosti navedena temperatura digestora od otprilike 180 °C do otprilike 200 °C.
6. Postupak u skladu s patentnim zahtjevom 1, pri čemu se korak (b): (i) provodi uz težinski omjer tekućina-krutina u digestoru od otprilike 1 do otprilike 4, pri čemu je po mogućnosti navedeni težinski omjer tekućina-krutina u digestoru otprilike 2 ili manji; ili (ii) provodi kod pH digestora od otprilike 3 do otprilike 5, pri čemu je po mogućnosti navedeni pH digestora od otprilike 3,5 do otprilike 4,5.
7. Postupak u skladu s patentnim zahtjevom 1, gdje se u navedenom postupku upotrebljava ispusni spremnik konfiguriran za prihvat navedene čvrste faze bogate celulozom ili navedenih rafiniranih krutina bogatih celulozom pod tlakom nižim od tlaka u digestoru, pri čemu se navedeni ispusni spremnik može nalaziti nizvodno od navedenog digestora i uzvodno ili nizvodno od navedenog mehaničkog rafinatora ili pri čemu vodena para je odvojena od navedenog ispusnog spremnika, pri čemu po mogućnosti se toplinu rekuperira iz barem dijela navedene vodene pare ili pri čemu se barem dio navedene vodene pare kondenzira ili stlači, te vrati u navedeni digestor.
8. Postupak u skladu s patentnim zahtjevom 1, pri čemu se prvi ispusni spremnik nalazi uzvodno od navedenog mehaničkog rafinatora, a drugi ispusni spremnik se nalazi nizvodno od navedenog mehaničkog rafinatora.
9. Postupak u skladu s patentnim zahtjevom 1, pri čemu: (i) navedeni mehanički rafinator radi pod rafinacijskim tlakom kojeg se bira od otprilike 1 bar (100 kPa) do otprilike 20 bara (2 MPa), pri čemu je po mogućnosti navedeni rafinacijski tlak otprilike 3 bara (300 kPa) ili manji, pri čemu navedeni mehanički rafinator može raditi pod ili pod otprilike atmosferskim tlakom; ili (ii) navedeni mehanički rafinator radi pod električnim opterećenjem od otprilike 2 kW do otprilike 50 kW rafinacijske snage po toni navedene čvrste faze bogate celulozom, pri čemu po mogućnosti navedeni mehanički rafinator radi pod električnim opterećenjem od otprilike 5 kW do otprilike 20 kW rafinacijske snage po toni navedene čvrste faze bogate celulozom; ili (iii) navedeni mehanički rafinator prenosi do otprilike 500 kWh rafinacijske energije po toni navedene čvrste faze bogate celulozom, pri čemu po mogućnosti navedeni mehanički rafinator prenosi od otprilike 50 kWh do otprilike 200 kWh rafinacijske energije po toni navedene čvrste faze bogate celulozom.
10. Postupak u skladu s patentnim zahtjevom 1, gdje se navedeni postupak sastoji u upotrebi više mehaničkih rafinatora u različitim segmentima navedenog postupka, gdje navedeni postupak može uključivati, između koraka (c) i (d), transportiranje barem dijela navedene smjese u drugi mehanički rafinator koji radi pod nižim rafinacijskim tlakom u usporedbi s onim u navedenom mehaničkom rafinatoru u koraku (c), pri čemu po mogućnosti navedeni mehanički rafinator u koraku (c) je rafinator pod povišenim tlakom, a navedeni drugi mehanički rafinator je rafinator pod atmosferskim tlakom.
11. Postupak u skladu s patentnim zahtjevom 1, pri čemu: (i) korak (d) upotrebljava više reaktora za enzimsku hidrolizu; (ii) korak (d) upotrebljava enzimsku hidrolizu u jednom stadiju konfiguriranu za likvefakciju celuloze i saharificiranje, pri čemu navedena enzimska hidroliza u jednom stadiju uključuje jedan ili više spremnika ili posuda; ili (iii) korak (d) upotrebljava enzimsku hidrolizu u više stadija konfiguriranu za likvefakciju celuloze za kojom slijedi saharificiranje, pri čemu svaki stadij uključuje jedan ili više spremnika ili posuda, gdje navedeni postupak može dodatno uključivati dodatno mehaničko rafiniranje navedene smjese, ili njezina djelomično hidrolizirane varijante, nakon barem prvog stadija enzimske hidrolize, ili navedeni postupak dodatno uključuje: dodavanje navedene smjese u prvi reaktor za enzimsku hidrolizu u djelotvornim uvjetima hidrolize kako bi se proizvelo tekući hidrolizat koji sadrži šećere iz navedenih rafiniranih krutina bogatih celulozom i izborno iz navedene hemiceluloze, te preostale čvrste faze bogate celulozom; izborno odvajanje barem dijela navedenog tekućeg hidrolizata od navedene preostale čvrste faze bogate celulozom; transportiranje navedene preostale čvrste faze bogate celulozom kroz dodatni mehanički rafinator i/ili recikliranje navedene preostale čvrste faze bogate celulozom kroz navedeni mehanički rafinator kako bi se dobilo rafinirane preostale krutine bogate celulozom; i dodavanje navedenih rafiniranih preostalih krutina bogatih celulozom u drugi reaktor za enzimsku hidrolizu u djelotvornim uvjetima hidrolize kako bi se proizvelo dodatne šećere.
12. Postupak u skladu s patentnim zahtjevom 1, pri čemu se nizvodno od navedenog hidrolitičkog reaktora nalazi samočisteći filtar radi uklanjanja sukova celuloznih vlakana, pri čemu se navedene sukove celuloznih vlakana može reciklirati natrag u navedeni hidrolitički reaktor.
13. Postupak u skladu s patentnim zahtjevom 1, pri čemu se enzime celulaze dodaje izravno u navedeni mehanički rafinator ili u navedenu čvrstu fazu bogatu celulozom prije koraka (c), pri čemu navedeni mehanički rafinator može raditi na maksimalnoj temperaturi od 75 °C ili nižoj radi održavanja djelotvornih uvjeta hidrolize.
14. Postupak u skladu s patentnim zahtjevom 1, pri čemu korak (d) uključuje enzimsku hidrolizu hemiceluloznih oligomera kako bi se dobilo fermentabilne monomerne šećere, ili korak (e) uključuje enzimsku hidrolizu hemiceluloznih oligomera kako bi se dobilo fermentabilne monomerne šećere u navedenom fermentoru, izborno pri čemu se barem dio navedenih fermentabilnih monomernih šećera također fermentira kako bi se proizvelo navedeni produkt fermentacije.
15. Postupak u skladu s patentnim zahtjevom 1, gdje navedeni postupak dodatno uključuje: (i) uklanjanje jednog ili više inhibitora fermentacije; ili (ii) koncentriranje navedenog produkta fermentacije destiliranjem, pri čemu navedeno destiliranje može stvarati struju ostataka destilacije, te pri čemu se navedenu struju ostataka destilacije isparava u isparivaču ostatka destilacije koji je isparivač s mehaničkom kompresijom vodene pare ili je integriran u niz isparivača mnogostrukog učinka.
16. Postupak u skladu s patentnim zahtjevom 1, pri čemu se navedeni mehanički rafinator bira iz skupine koju čine rafinator s vrućim puhanjem, rafinator s vrućom šaržom, rafinator s linijom za puhanje, disk rafinator, stožasti rafinator, valjkasti rafinator, linijski defibrator, ekstruder, homogenizator, te njihove kombinacije.
17. Postupak u skladu s patentnim zahtjevom 1, pri čemu se navedeni produkt fermentacije bira iz skupine koju čine etanol, izopropanol, aceton, n-butanol, izobutanol, 1,4-butandiol, jantarna kiselina, mliječna kiselina, te njihove kombinacije, pri čemu je po mogućnosti navedeni produkt fermentacije etanol.
