Abstract
A waste water treatment assembly has a concentric sludge trap (8) is located at centre, surrounded by a sedimentation tank (5), within an outer clear water collection basin (15). The assembly has a waste water inlet (15) to an activated treatment stage basin (3) and an overflow (17, 18) to the sedimentation basin (5). A further overflow (33) discharges from the sedimentation basin to a clear water collection basin (6) with an outlet (34). The clear water basin (6) forms a channel around the sediment tank (5) at a predetermined height. The clear water (6) outlet (34) below the normal water level (29).
