The present invention improve disadvantages such as a limited jackpot drawing performance and so on. The present game system includes: a jackpot drawing apparatus; a decision information detecting unit for detecting decision information for deciding whether a player is present at each of a plurality of game apparatuses, and a player presence decision unit which, at a predetermined timing after a drawing unit of the jackpot drawing apparatus determines a game apparatus which has won the jackpot award, decides whether a player is present at a winning game apparatus based on a result detected by the decision information detecting unit; wherein a jackpot payout processing unit performs a jackpot payout process for the winning game apparatus where the player presence decision unit decides that the player is present at the winning game apparatus, but does not perform the jackpot payout process for the winning game apparatus where the player presence decision unit decides that the player is not present at the winning game apparatus.
