Abstract
Novelty: a self-acting electrically-operated heating system adaptable to existing radiators or any heating body of a space-heating installation is disclosed. Constitution: a small-sized electric boiler is installed at each heating body and in-series connected to a respective low-power circulator; said electric boiler operates with the single-phase voltage of a low-power network (230 volts ac); two hydrophilous stainless electrodes are placed, in a waterproof manner, inside the boiler; a thermostatic switch connected to the hot water supply in order that the hot water flowing inside the heating bodies does not exceed the finite desired temperature; a space thermostat yielding full autonomy to the space where it is installed; a thermostatic switch set at the supply inlet of each heating body for ensuring the autonomy of the heating system; an interconnected circuit for the supervision of the electric power consumption so that electric power does not exceed the predefined limits. Purpose: full autonomy of heating systems using radiators as heat diffusion means and, thereby, rational use and management of these last for saving energy needed for providing comfort conditions in whatever habitable space.
