Abstract

Fixed keels (36) on sailing boats develop a non regulated lift, while keels of rudders (37) have an impact only to the application point of the full developed lift, on the bottoms of the boats. The invention aims at limiting disadvantages of such devices, such as heeling, angle of incidence, drag, insufficient weighing etc., as well as the great draught of a fin keel (36), and as a consequence a faster and safer boat. It also includes a mechanism (35) in the wing (1), the developed lift (L) ofwhich is regulated a) as to the direction, as the bank angle (d) is defined at will by a control unit (38) of the device, and b) as to the measure, through a variable angle of incidence (h), that emanates automatically and by a freely defined correspondence with the bank angle (d), through the mechanism (35). Various ways to use the mechanism (35), such as between the keel (32, 33) and the rudder (34), or on the one edge of the bulb of a ballast (33), or two mechanisms (35) on the edges of the bulb of a ballast (33) etc., as well as various ways of correspondence of the angle of incidence (h) from the bank angle (d) give required properties, depending on the intended use of the boat.
