Abstract
he invented behind-the-ear speech processor (BTESP) is destined for cochlear prosthetics systems and constructed to form a uniform structure comprising the basic unit (BU), the inductive transmission coil (ITC), the batteries casing (BC) and the support elements. Thus, the one-part BTESP is composed of a wireless single piece or part with integral ITC, o hook for its adaptation to the helix of the ear, and a magnet for the cochlear prosthesis insertion. The synchronical double fixing and the absence of wires are the main advantages of the invention, which implies easy manipulation, independent movements, and suppression of failures induced by worn cables.
