Abstract

The method and system of the invention for automated indelible color decoration of ceramic and glass objects, is based on the combination of computer-controlled work stations, where the use of multiple spray heads for a single coating of precision designs with high-temperature pigments, is followed by scanning the same exact design with a laser beam, in such a way that the different pigments are converted to the desired indelible colors of the specific design. Work stations for the preheating and or the dying of the object can be interpositioned in the production line.This method on one hand solves the problem of slow speed in indelible color decoration of objects, dividing the total processing of the object into allocated work stations and absolutely coinciding the designs to be impressed at the different work stations, while on the other hand avoids any waste in materials, energy and time, spraying and scanning only what is required by each design.This method and system can be applied to different types of ceramic and glass, from color decoration of objects, to printing indelible logos.
