Conductors for dynamo-electric machines are insulated by forming a laminate of asbestos paper, mica flakes, and mica paper bonded with a silicon or other resin settable under the catalyst action of asbestos, wrapping the laminate around the conductor, mica paper innermost, and hot-pressing to cure the resin.
