995,059. Manure turners. P. ENGELER. Sept. 6, 1963 [Sept. 7, 1962], No. 35238/63. Heading B1C. Apparatus for turning manure comprises a driven conveyer 4 inclined to the ground along most of its length at between 55 and 65 degrees, the conveyer being formed of side chains joined by transverse bars 8 fitted with prongs 9 and mounted on a mobile wheeled frame 1, a driven pronged roller 12, a shoot 11 and a hopper 13, which may be provided with a valve 15, to deposit additives on to the manure. The conveyer may be supported by rollers 5, 6, 7 or by a rigid metal table (not shown) beneath the upper run thereof. The apparatus may be self-propelled by a motor (not shown) which also drives the conveyer and pronged roller 12.
