Abstract

A concentrated supplement for hydrocarbon fuels comprises formaldehyde or polymeric formaldehyde; a combined acrylic ester and acrylic resin solution with methylene glycol dimethyl ether; a propane diamine and butyl-p-phenylene diamine with a solvent, e.g. isopropyl alcohol, toluol, kerosene or their mixture. The formaldehyde is preferably as a methyl alcohol solution of the hemi-acetal of the monomer or polymer. Optional ingredients are aminophenols, tertiary alkyl primary aliphatic amines (for Diesel fuel) and magnesium sulphide (for burner fuels).
