A machine for rolling up sheet metal comprises an upper roll 5 and two driven lower .rolls 1, 2 and is characterized in that the bearings 3, 4 of the lower rolls are arranged to be mutually independently displaceable in a horizontal plane and to be adjustable so that the rolls extend at an acute angle to each other, the upper roll also being mounted in a known manner in adjustable bearings 6, and a guide 7, e.g. adjustable, for a conical section being preferably provided between the lower rolls. The bearings 3, 4 may also be moved laterally. The roll 5 is inclined to define nips with the rolls 1, 2 so that a metal element passed therebetween is formed into a conical section 9.
