Abstract
The invention comprises polyamines of formula <FORM:0989559/C2/1> where n is an integer in the range 1 to 22. The polyamines are prepared by reacting dihydric phenols with alkali metal or ammonium bisulphites to form phenolic bisulphite compounds, which are then reacted with mixtures of phenylene diamines and aniline. In an example resorcinol is reacted with sodium metabisulphite, and the product reacted with aniline and m-phenylenediamine.ALSO:The invention comprises polyamines of formula <FORM:0989559/C3/1> where n is an integer in the range 1 to 22. The polyamines are prepared by reacting dihydric phenols with alkali metal or ammonium bisulphites to form phenolic bisulphite compounds, which are then reacted with mixtures of phenylene diamines and aniline. In an example resorcinol is reacted with sodium metabisulphite, and the product reacted with aniline and m-phenylenediamine.
