Abstract
989,134. Monogrammic signs. BELL PUNCH CO. Ltd. March 31, 1964 [April 3, 1963], No. 13111/63. Heading G5C. Each of a plurality of symbols (in the example, numerals 0. . 9) is delineated by its own individual series of lamps (Fig. 2),the holders of which are mounted on a mounting board 6 (Fig. 3) on which is laid out an individual circuit connecting the holders of each symbol. The board 6 (Fig. 4, 5, not shown) bears portions of printed circuit on both upper and lower faces, portions being connected by connections through the board. A single circuit connects the negative connectors 8 of all the lamp holders, and ten separate circuits connect the positive connectors 7 of holders corresponding to the ten numerals to be displayed. The eleven circuits are each brought to a point on a plug block on the mounting board (Fig. 4, not shown). A switch (Fig. 6, not shown) connects a positive supply to any one of the ten positive points on the block to display the numeral required. Fig. 1 shows the lamps 5 on their board 6 in a box 1 having flanges 2 to receive a transluscent glass panel 3.
