Abstract

987,739. Composite articles. SENIOR ECONOMISERS Ltd. Jan. 20, 1964 [May 1, 1963], No. 17112/63. Heading B3F. A heat-exchanger element comprises a finned tube unit having a pair of parallel metal tubes a and b which are united by a finned element, with a junction part c, composed of metal cast around the tubes in a mould. The tubes have roughened surfaces to afford good thermal contact and keying with the cast metal.
