987,194. Collapsible cases. R. MIOCQUE. June 10, 1963, No. 23102/63. Headings B8D and B8P. A collapsible case in which all the sides are separate has reinforcing bars 7, 8 at opposite edges of each inner face and is assembled as shown. The upper parts of the vertical bars 7, 8 are bevelled or tapered so that the walls 3, 4 may be levered outwards to insert or remove the lid 6. A lever may be inserted through a slot at the edge of the lid 6. The opposite ends of the bevelled bars 7, 8 may also be slightly bevelled or tapered to render the case more elastic. The lower ends of the bevelled bars 7, 8 may have extensions to hold the panels 3, 5 upright before fitting the lid 6. Alternatively studs 14, preferably secured to external reinforcing strips 16, register with recesses 15 in the bars of panels 2, 4.
