985,242. Motor vehicles with conoidal wheels. E. P. AGHNIDES. July 6, 1962, No. 26017/62. Headings B7D and B7H. A motor vehicle with two oppositely directed conoidal or hemispheroidal wheels mounted in tandem is steered by turning either the front wheel 13 or the back wheel 14 in the one sense from the neutral or straight ahead position. Each wheel, which may be provided with one or two rubber tyres is mounted on the lower end of a shaft 16 journalled in a plate mounted on the tubular frame and is steered by an hydraulic ram connected to the shaft 16 by an arm 21. Movement of the steering wheel in one direction from the neutral position operates valve 28 to supply fluid from pump 22 to slave cylinder 33 controlling ram 20 and hence extend ram 20. Movement of the steering wheel in the opposite direction from neutral operates valve 27 in a similar manner to actuate slave cylinder 38 and ram 19.
