984,493. Lens mounting for spectacle frames. R. LANCON. Jan. 27, 1964 [Jan. 31, 1963], No. 3391/64. Heading G2J. A spectacle frame has a nose-bridge and two curved brow bars 1 each of which is grooved at 2 so that a corresponding projected lens 3 can be slid into the groove and held there by the difference in curvature between the lens and the bar, one of them being resilient. If desired the lens may be locked in the groove by known means or by shaping the hinge end 4a of side arm 4 so that in its open position it abuts end 3b of the lens and locks it in the groove.
