Abstract

982,957. Electric heaters. UNITED KING- DOM ATOMIC ENERGY AUTHORITY. Nov. 6, 1963 [Aug. 16, 1962], No. 31475/62. Heading H5H. A support for a heater wire comprises a steel tube with the ends turned over slightly to contain a ceramic bead. A rigid heater wire may be shaped by coiling, and a number of such insulators threaded on and grouped to form columns. The tubular casings of the insulating beads may then be welded together, or to a rigid bar at suitable spacings.
