Abstract

982,616. Reels. HENRY W. AIKEN Ltd. Jan. 21, 1964 [Jan. 28, 1963 (2)], Nos. 3394/63 and 3395/63. Heading A1A. [Also in Division B8] Yarn, fishing line, tape 7 &c. is prevented from unwinding from spool 1 by a keeper 2, V-shaped in cross-section. The keeper is held in the spool by ribs projecting from each end of the apex into holes in the spool, or by flanges 6 of the spool having around their periphery inwardly projecting ribs (Fig. 6, not shown), The spool may be injection moulded from a synthetic plastics material. The keeper may also be of synthetic plastics material having slightly concave arms (Fig. 7, not shown).
